I was skeptical to eat here but had to attend a lunch for work. I ordered the buffalo chicken dip with veggies and the city works chopped salad. Both were delicious and had big flavor. The staff was terrible and not helpful at all, they gave me an attitude about GF so i asked for the manager. Also, there are only like 5 items marked as “gluten sensitive” so not a big selection. Because the food was so good and i didnt get sick im giving it a 4/5.

We chose the GF wings and a chicken dip. Both were very good. The dip was served with taco chips - which we learned are made in house in a shared fryer. Once we questioned them, the waitress checked and brought us carrots and celery sticks - which the manager stated is their norm. Because we were seated at the bar, it may be the table waitstaff know to offer the veggie alternative to celiacs. But we caught it right away and no harm was done. Our food was tasty and we’d return if in the area.

I ordered a burger on a gluten free bun and it was delicious! They didn't have as many options as I expected for other meals..my choices were salads, steak, or burgers. The waiter took my order and told me unfortunately the fries have a risk of cross contamination and suggested a side salad instead as the side. The burger bun has sesame on it as a warning for anyone who has a sesame allergy.
Everything was delicious and I felt safe!

Food is pretty good, not great. Marked gluten sensitive on the menu, they take good precautions and I felt fine.

A few menu items marked with GS... gluten sensitive, no separate menu. However, our server was very knowledgeable and spoke about cross contamination avoidance. My grilled chicken sandwich came with an "allergy" pick, which I always appreciate, the bun was actually quite tasty, which was a nice surprise. No fried items due to 1 fryer. No reaction and a nice family meal out.

The waitress was very attentive and put an allergy alert tag with my order, wrote no cross contamination and talked to the chef. However I still ended up getting sick following dinner. The food was good but I would eat at your own risk.

I called ahead to check that they had some GF protocols in the kitchen - they were able to confirm they prep the food in a different area. Knowing others have had good experiences at the Wheeling location, I felt comfortable going and the waiter had no issue understanding celiac and gluten free needs. I got the City Works burger with a GF bun, which amazingly had no up-charge!! I don’t think the fryer is safe but I didn’t even ask (they couldn’t confirm on the phone) and got the side salad. The bun was a bit dry and it was handled better with a knife and fork but I didn’t get sick! They have plenty of hard seltzers in a can as well. Would go back for the burger.
