This is our go-to sushi spot in San Diego. We go here A LOT and my hubby is celiac so we are always super concerned about safety. I can't have any seeds so we are a bit high maintain when it comes to Asian cuisine of any type. We have had sushi plus other dishes here like the fried rice. The staff here is so great!! Say hi to Brandee at the bar. She is awesome. Would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
Lots of options clearly marked as GF or GFO. Different staff members brought out the food and all stated GF without needing to ask. There is an up charge for some modifications (not noted or stated when ordering), but does give confidence the kitchen understood the modifications (I.e grill the shrimp instead of fry)
Many gluten free sushi items on the menu- I stuck with the house rolls because they were already gluten free and didn’t require modifications. I didn’t think the service or the food was amazing, but it was fast and I was happy to have a good amount of options on the menu. The decor of the restaurant was great!
They also have GF soy sauce- just make sure to ask.
Good options, and the menu is marked. The waitress wasn’t very versed in what/how the roll was gluten free, but the kitchen was able to accommodate, and she came back and reassured us that everything we ordered was safe. Just made sure to be clear it was for an allergy.
Lots of gluten free options marked clearly on the menu. The food was amazing and the atmosphere is very cool. The staff were very attentive and mindful about my having celiac. They have gluten free soy sauce. Drinks are also amazing.
