Dedicated Gluten Free menu. Gluten Free buns for burgers and sandwiches. Will bring GF bread to the table upon request. Nice selection of Gluten Free desserts including a lemon wine cheesecake!
Unfortunately none of the wines are gluten free. They use wheat filters on all of their wines. When I spoke with the head quarters about how deceptive the gluten free menu is because it reads as if all of the wines are gluten free, they were unapologetic. Beware
Most amazing GF menu we have ever seen!! Food was excellent! We only wish they had more locations. In addition the waiter was attentive and professional.
The food here is really good although portions are small and expensive. We waited 30 minutes for an appetizer of hummus and vegetables. Dinner, came after an hour. The salmon was the $33 and the size of a hot dog. If you have lots of time and money this is a good place because the food is good, but otherwise skip it. I am going to try to include pictures of tiny desserts.
Avoid Cooper's Hawk if you have celiac disease. I ordered the gluten feee lettuce wraps, and unknowingly, I was served a plate that was a mix of gf and gluten full. I ate two lettuce wraps and was horribly sick. Don't risk it. They tout themselves as safely gluten free, but they make horrible mistakes.
They have an extensive gluten free menu so at least they try. However they had two items on their gf menu that the server had to come back and tell us were actually not gf. We ordered the hummus and pita plate because we were excited to have gf pita. They brought out the platter and said "we don't actually have gf pita so we bring a gf roll instead". We wouldn't have ordered it if we knew that. They have a few gf pasta dishes so we were happy about that. But none of them were vegetarian. We ordered one without the shrimp and meat but they charged us full price anyway. They bring you a gf roll to the table which was nice. Not the best tasting but always a treat to get gf bread. They told us they keep things separate in the kitchen. I am hoping they do. However my celiac son was feeling very sick after we ate here. The food wasn't that good, it was very pricey and we are not sure if he was glutened. So for these reasons we will not be returning.
Coppers hawk has amazing wine! the menu is pretty large. They brought me a #glutenfree roll before dinner. the reason for below 5 stars is that one of the meals "parmesan crusted chicken " includes Diana's potatoes. this is a premade potato pancake basically that had bread crumbs. If I had not asked what they were they would have served to me. ask for Mary's potatoes. They are gluten free. otherwise no complaints!
Gluten free review: Although they have a gluten free menu and I'm very clear with my server that this is a serious allergy, not a choice, I get sick here. Every time. We finally cancelled our wine membership, when I realized I was still getting sick drinking their wine at home. When asked why we we're cancelling, I told them about my gluten issue. I was then told that NONE of their WINE is gluten free, as they use wheat in the filtering process. Really??? And no where on the gluten free menu is that mentioned. This is such a fun place and I love wine tasting, but this is not acceptable. It's totally deceptive and dangerous. I lose days when I am exposed to gluten. I wonder if the managers and staff even know this.
This location just opened...got sick again. My fault for returning to one of these restaurants. NOT celiac friendly; server forgot to even take one of our parties orders; slow; too busy and got very sick within an hour of eating here. DONT CHANCE WITH CELIAC.
They have an extensive GF menu but no systems in place to take any particular care of customers with celiac. I was brought regular food and told, "Everything on that plate is gluten safe." Luckily there were other burgers at our table and I could tell my roll was not GF, but I don't trust this restaurant & do not recommend. They need to review their processes.
We went here last night to celebrate my daughters birthday (both her and I celiac). They assured us that every safety precaution was used to avoid cross contamination. We had the chicken lettuce wraps, delicious. We both ordered the Parmesan crusted chicken and were enjoying it until i found a large piece of pasta under my green beans. My worst nightmare. We notified the server, who notified the manager, who notified the chef. All were very apologetic and seemed to understand the gravity of the situation. The manager comped our meal and we left. Of course I was gluttened terribly and my daughter was also even without the pasta on her plate. Needless to say, we won't be going back here anytime soon. Kudos to Mike the manager for understanding how serious this situation was.
The waitress knew I have celiac disease and carried regular bread and my glass of water in the same hand with the glass touching the bread. Then proceeded to try to put the bread down right in front of me. We made her take the bread and water away and explained why. My husband asked her if she had been trained on how to handle gluten-free meals. She said no. We explained what happened to the front of the house manager who assured us that he would personally take care of things and that our gluten-free meals would be served by a manager. I decided to stay because of his assurances that all would be safe and it was my husband's birthday. The food was NOT brought to our table by a manager and they sent a different server every time. The food was NOT safe and now I am sick as a dog! I will NEVER go there again.
Excellent food. Extensive GF menu. Delicious appetizers (Mexican shrimp, Thai spring rolls, salads). Tasty mains (ahi tuna, risotto to die for, great burgers). Amazing GF bread. They are very knowledgeable about cross contamination. Number or great desserts to choose from. Highly recommended.
Joined wine club since they offer GF. Never had problem here. Love the GF bread they bring me while the rest of my family enjoy the regular pretzel bread. I always get the GF short rib risotto. I'm tempted by the other options, but I can't seem to say no to risotto. Has mushrooms which I typically don't eat anywhere else, but I usually eat about half of them & the rest of my bowl is empty. So filling. You must order the GF s'mores budino. It's heavenly.
I really am only giving one star but the system bumps it to two. The waitress/chef messed up my order and the manager tried to put the blame on me. Then instead of correcting the issue the right way I was served undercooked filet mignon and raw asparagus.
That's all I can say is WOW. Menu is the most extensive GF menu I have ever seen, and the warm GF bread with butter was to die for. If you have Celiac, you have to visit Coopers Hawk!!
I like the food and wish I could eat there but even with the gluten free menu I get "glutened" :(
Love that u have sweets and a variety of flavors for entrees. Please find gluten free pasta that is also corn free pasta. It really is an issue. Besides myself, I know a lot of people who have corn issues along with gluten. There is quinoa (even better than rice) and there is rice pasta.
This is a chain but this kitchen is well versed In preparation and food safety for celiacs. I had Chicken Madeira and it was delicious. I have eaten in this chain in Naperville, IL so I know the food is good. Have a salad and the GF chocolate "cake". Fantastic.
This was probably one of the top 5 best GF restaurants meals I've ever had. They have an amazing GF menu, and two managers swung by our table to see if I had questions. They assured me that they have a separate allergen-free prep line in their kitchen. Meal was incredible and I felt great afterwards, too.
Four stars ONLY because I think they glutened me with blue cheese stuffed olives in my martini. This place is amazing and claims to have separate prep areas so rating it celiac friendly based on 1) knowledge of servers 2) separate GF menu and 3) reported separate prep space.
I have celiac and had a good experience. food was good, \old wine tasters as well. not everyone will have a good experience as my gluten free meal is dependant upon cooks and servers to keep it gluten free. I sent something back once and they were very kind to accommodate and it turned out to be a nice meal and I had no issues post meal.
I suppose if you are just GF, then this place is ok. I am DF and GF. They have messed up my meal 3 times now. Working on my 4 th try. I do not recommend this place. At least the 4th try was good. I had the burger. It was delicious, but anti climatic. I decided to give it another try. It was fabulous. I just made sure I got a manager involved right at the beginning. So I am changing my rating from 1 to 5.
Love the ample GF options (including desserts!) The chef takes extra precautions when cooking GF meals. Just a word of warning... Don't come here if you're in a hurry. Even with a reservation it took another 45 min to be sat and another 40 min after we ordered our food to actually be served!
Love, love, love this place. Wonderful gf menu. Looks like a real menu. (No Deciphering). They even serve a warm gf bun/bread with wine tastings or dinner. My husband and I have been gf for about 6 months. We love to dine out. This is our favorite place so far. We go at least once a month.
This is my go-to restaurant for gluten-free dining. The food is delicious, and I know I can eat there safely, without the threat of cross-contamination or getting sick. The dedicated gluten-free menu has a lot of options, including appetizers and desserts. I do not care for their gluten-free pasta. It comes watered-down and lacks flavor. The last time I ordered a gf pasta dish, I had to send it back. I wish Cooper's Hawk would use different hamburger buns. The ones they have now crumble, and sometimes they taste freezer-burned. It is impossible to eat a hamburger without using a knife and fork. I also wish they'd find a way to get a dedicated fryer for french fries. Right now, if I want a burger, I go to Red Robin.Otherwise, it's Cooper's Hawk for me. Their white chocolate truffles and dark chocolate truffles are gluten free, which is nice, but they do not taste nearly as good as they once did. They must have changed the recipe. Wait staff is usually good. Find someone you like, get their schedule and then ask for that server when you come in. Otherwise, the service can be sketchy -- never bad, it's just that some servers are better than others. For example, on one of my birthdays, they brought the usual white chocolate truffle and chocolate dipped strawberry, gratis, with a candle. That's their usual thing to do. However, since I no longer care for the chocolate there, I would have liked to have ordered an additional dessert from the menu. My husband would have ordered something, too, along with enjoying the truffle. I also would have liked coffee. The server just plopped the plate down and walked away without asking if there might be something else we'd like, or if my husband would like to order dessert. Not only were we ill-served, the server lost money for Cooper's Hawk. So, I gave my dessert to hubby and skipped my birthday celebration. Cooper's Hawk: I love ya, but you still have a way to go to earn 5-stars.
They have a LARGE gluten free menu!! It made made me feel like at ease and they knew what they were doing. It is also nice to feel like a normal person wating out with the amount of options there are! They are also wonderful about accomodating other food allergies you may have. LOVE this place!
