Was exposed to gluten here. Ordered on 2/4/25 cilantro ranch chicken sandwich no bun, seasoned fries, and the Salted Caramel Crème Brûlée. I’ve eaten at CH before with no issue but this meal had a couple of potential points of failure. Is it prepared on a cooking surface shared with gluten containing foods? Did the cooks handle gluten foods before my food? Is the fryer REALLY gluten free like they claim? Do gluten and gf fryers share a filter? I rarely eat out at restaurants because there are so many potential points of failure, and now I’ll suffer for a week or more.
This is my go-to restaurant. Extensive gf menu and they even have gf bread so you can eat bread like everyone else at your table like a normal person. I recommend Dana's Parmesan-Crusted Chicken, Braised Short Rib Risotto, or the Caesar Salad, but I've never had a bad dish here. They obviously have an extensive wine selection as well which is nice, too.
Big GF menu here! Make sure you tell the waitstaff about your allergy and verify the dish is safe when it is brought to your table (it’s a big restaurant and I see how they could accidentally swap two plates). One time they put tortilla strips on my dish bc they brought the regular dish, not the GF one. They recovered well, apologized, and have always been a very kind staff. Just make sure it’s safe (like at any restaurant).
They have a GF menu that shows they respect the GF community. Wish there was a Cooper's Hawk in the city where I live!
Has own gluten free menu with everything from appetizers to desserts. They also have a gluten free bread that is served before meals. I let the staff know that I had Celiac and they were extremely accommodating. Informed the kitchen who took all necessary precautions. I got the chicken picatta which was delicious. No reaction from the meal! Would eat head again!
Was very disappointed with my meal here on 7/30/19. I ordered a gluten free risotto and talked about the severity of celiac and I was assured that the kitchen had a procedure so there would be no cross contamination. "don't worry we handle this a lot here, you'll be safe". There was many errors with the ordering and they were bringing two of each appetizer. Then when my short rib risotto came the plating was horrible and it looked like there was caked on food that was not washed off the bowl. When I started eatting the $26 dish I found random other food in my meal. This made me feel uncomfortable because if that made it into the bowl what else may have came into contact. I informed the manager and sent my food back. The manager apolagise and did give a complimentary dinner for next time (won't feel comfortable eatting here again though)
I told my waiter that I was Celiac and he knew my requirements immediately. However, I was brought brioche that was accompanied by a knife that was dirty. The knife had crumbs and grease stains on it. I told the waiter why it was important that I not eat bread cut with the same knife. He skirted the issue and then returned to the kitchen. The issue went unaddressed, which demonstrated to me that a real awareness of the core issues was not there. I love this restaurant and have been a wine club Member for many years. I am sorely disappointed.
Excellent gluten free menu. However, server knowledge is very poor. They asked if my one year old had an allergy or preference. The first time we were there they accidentally served her wheat pasta. We tried again, hoping it was a fluke, and they served her cross contaminated fries. Scary.
Love that they give you endless GF bread at the table LIKE NORMAL GLUTINOUS PEOPLE. But don't fill up, because the real food is amazing. Bacon wrapped "drunken" shrimp, lettuce wraps (big as a meal but priced as an app), short rib risotto and burgers are all worth writing home about. You can also get wine samples at the table, free of charge.
That's all I can say is WOW. Menu is the most extensive GF menu I have ever seen, and the warm GF bread with butter was to die for. If you have Celiac, you have to visit Coopers Hawk!!
Love, love, love this place. Wonderful gf menu. Looks like a real menu. (No Deciphering). They even serve a warm gf bun/bread with wine tastings or dinner. My husband and I have been gf for about 6 months. We love to dine out. This is our favorite place so far. We go at least once a month.
One of my favorite options!!!! Separate kitchen, full menu of options, staff is very knowledgeable and careful with orders.
Cooper's hawk has a pretty large gluten free menu. They also offer a gluten free bread to be served prior to your meal! They are very knowledgeable regarding gluten free cooking. The waitstaff was very accommodating.
Very sensitive to cross contamination and didn't get sick. Pretty good food and large gf menu.
Great gf menu. But I was contaminated because they put a gf roll on a wooden board that the other bread goes on. I called the manager the next day and He made sure that wouldn't happen again. But I get the impression they really go to great lengths here. I did get reaction but wouldn't anticipate it again.
A favorite! The gf menu is huge! It is almost overwhelming to pick my entree. The lettuce wraps are amazing and they always offer me gluten free bread (the same roll they use for sandwiches and burgers) when my husband gets the pretzel bread. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly.
I really enjoyed my experience here. They have a pretty extensive gluten free menu and didn’t charge us extra for gluten free bread (which was really just a bun) prior to the meal. We were able to get ahi tuna sashimi, shrimp and scallop risotto, salmon, and braised short rib. For dessert, they had flourless chocolate torte, salted caramel crème brûlée, and s’mores budino. All of it was amazing. They did make a couple of mistakes with some of the gluten free food but were quick to correct it.
