Very knowledgeable - staff change their gloves. I took a tour of the kitchen and only gluten is in the bread which is in a large bin with its own self contained knife and cutting board. Been here twice with my sensitive celiac son with great success
Quick, healthy food in a modern, upscale atmosphere. Lots of food choices and lots of fresh wholesome ingredients to mix and match. Hot or cold! And the drinks . . . Green tea cider anyone?
I've eaten here so many times now!!! I love that the menu is gluten free, and I can order anything with confidence. It's nice that I can be somewhat adventurous about my choices knowing that I won't get glutened!
The whole menu is GF. I got the tuna poke bowl and while the greens and veggies and dressing were good, the tuna was a very low quality and lots of fatty bands throughout the fish. I had to throw the fish away. I would go back and try something different. Great concept!
Everything here is GF with the exception of the bread that is offered at the end. Highly recommend!
Delicious! All dishes are gluten free. The only gluten in the whole store is a slice of bread that is offered at the very end of the assembly line, after your food is closed up/plated. Excellent!
I identified myself as a Celiac with lactose allergy. The person waiting on me immediately took off his gloves, washed his hands and put on new gloves and was the only person that touched my food. Wonderful job!
CoreLife Eatery is an order-to-make cafe that is entirely gluten free. It is pure heaven for someone with Celiac Disease - the staff even changes their gloves without being asked. Options include rice, quinoa, rice pasta, broth, steak, chicken, falafel, etc. Very delicious and reasonably priced!
Food tastes great, staff friendly, 1 star rating is exclusively because of gluten contaminated restaurant/ingredients. I've been to CoreLife once. It was about two weeks ago and I was nervous about the bread at the end of the line but got in line anyway. Upon reaching the end of the line, with my order near the bread box an employee started removing bread from the box directly over my meal to fill a large takeout order being bagged at the pickup counter. So already I'm anxious, frustrated and can see this definitely isn't celiac safe. Then the employee handling the bread returns to the line without changing gloves and unconsciously places their hand on my bowl, with thumb inside of the bowl, to push/advance my order down the line. At this point I'm a ball of anxiety and tell the employee I no longer want the meal as it has been contaminated. They remade my meal, and everyone was professional and accommodating. But I'm upset and my dining experience is already negative. So I can't eat at CoreLife. It's simply not worth risking cross contamination. Even if I watch my meal prep carefully I may miss something or an employee could be contaminating the ingredients during prep when I'm not around to supervise. I appreciate business owners making an attempt to be gluten free and learning from and improving their processes but this idea of 99% gluten free simply isn't good enough for celiac diners. You must to be 100% gluten free or you are not. I know this is difficult for some to understand but it is the reality of the situation. So unless they remove all gluten I can't be a customer. Here are two potential ideas to solve this problem. 1. Go 100% gluten free. Use a gluten free bread, muffin or other gf item in place of wheat bread. I understand it's difficult to find gf breads the general public like so here is idea number 2. Bake, slice, and individually seal the sliced bread in a separate facility and bring it to the restaurant sealed. And to be extra safe store it away from the register/food prep areas.
The food tasted great and I really appreciated the ease or ordering. By having all the ingredients for all the dressings on the menu, I could easily pick out the one that didn't have any refined sugar in it. None of the drinks were free of sweeteners and/or preservatives, so that's a bust, but I usually just drink water when I eat out anyway. The only thing I had to ask about the ingredients in was the falafel. They didn't list the ingredients of their "premium" add-ons to a build-your-own-bowl. I appreciate the entirely gluten-free menu. It makes things a lot easier. The lighting was my only major complaint. It is so bright and unshielded that it makes looking at the person across from you a recipe for a headache.
Clean eating at its finest. They offer a variety of salads that are made assembly-line style right in front of you. All salads use natural, fresh ingredients and the menu is clearly marked for what has wheat, nuts, soy, etc. The only bread offered is at the end of the serving line, handled by one person with tongs, wearing gloves. The bread itself is kept in a hard plastic container and already sliced so any crumbs are self-contained. Your food completely bypasses this station if you don't want bread. I've eaten here a few times with no side effects whatsoever.
I have eaten at Core a few times over the past year without a problem, and we typically love it there! So I did give a couple stars. However, I was in this past Saturday with a friend and was very disappointed and embarrassed by the person at the register. I was careful in picking out salad ingredients and knew what I wanted, so I didn't want to make a big deal about cross contamination. While I will react, I'm not extremely sensitive, have been glutened, but it's rare. It was pretty busy, it typically takes a while to get through the line, and it was a busy Saturday. We get through the entire line to the register, I tell the woman I do not want bread, my friend with the broth bowl did. (She had a separate tray.) The cashier went to put the bread on my tray anyway, dropped the piece of bread directly on top my salad. I kind of wanted to cry. I said, that I couldn't have bread because I couldn't have gluten. She literally laughed, said "oops"! And picked up the piece of bread off my salad and put it ONTO my tray. I said again. "No bread please, I can't have gluten it makes me sick". She picked up the piece of bread and tossed it into the trash can with the tongs and handed us our change and our trays. I kind of stood there surprised and she said, "what, do you want me to have them make you a new one?" There were like 30 people in line behind us. I took my tray scraped the top half into the trash and said a prayer. Thankfully, I didn't get sick this time, and I rarely can finish an entire salad there, but I was pretty irritated and really embarrassed by her reaction and annoyed that I paid for half a salad that still could have made me sick so I'm not sure if I'll be back any time soon after that one.
This is my new favorite place! Fresh, delicious ingredients and I loved the bone broth! The beet lemonade and blueberry mint lemonade were excellent as well! Only thing with gluten is that they offer is a side of bread that can be ordered with a meal, it's kept at the end of the line in a box.
All entrees are gluten free, ingredients are fresh and healthy, the menu is customizable, the staff are friendly, and the prices are reasonable, and vegan items are clearly marked. Allergy note: it is not a nut free restaurant. When I was there, it was a special "pay what you want" fundraiser and 100% of the earnings went to support a localNon-profit organization that helps families in need. I love that they demonstrated a desire to serve the community.
Finally got to try this place My Mother In Law had broccoli cheddar soup that was delicious and felt light and healthy. My husband had Ginger steak and rice noodles with chicken chili vinaigrette dressing, it was bland. I had Thai chicken and rice noodles and almost immediately felt glutened. They use a Kikoman gluten free soy sauce that could be an issue(FDA is refusing to regulate gluten free items) but that is just an idea. Only me, can go to a gluten free place and get glutened! Ugh! I was not impressed with the knowledge of the staff. The manager, who was lovely and attempting to clarify had no idea what the Shoyu sauce was that was indicated as an allergen on their menu. She did call her manager and told me that it was the kikoman soy sauce. We saw a container of the soy sauce and it was marked as using no gluten products but Shoya sauce that she googled has wheat. I appreciate the attempt but it feels a lot like a chain attempting to provide gluten free without proper knowledge of where contamination can be hidden in plain sight, although their menu indicates the opposite. The employees seemed to have no personal knowledge of the issues with gluten. Although they were all nice. It's a training problem not an uncaring staff. They also have regular bread sitting on the counter at checkout in a plastic box. Again confusing! Why not provide gluten free bread and not risk the potential for cross contamination and for heavens sake why put it next to every meal you make? I really wanted to love this place! I will probably try it again as it's close to my mother in law and she loves soup. Interior is comfortable and nice design. Outside patio. Bathrooms and tables could have used more attention. I will include photos of menu as it explains the order process well.
This is a good, healthy, vegetarian/vegan friendly casual dining option. All items on the menu are gluten free, except for the optional 1/2 slice of bread. I believe the bread is added at the very end of the line, and only when requested. My kids enjoy the variety of fountain drinks (e.g., cranberry cayenne lemonade).
Food is amazing and everything is gluten free! I recommend the tofu! :)

Amazing! Gluten is only in bread at the end of the salad line and is made off-site. They take extra special care with allergies and are super helpful. Food is fantastic and non-GMO and no antibiotics etc. in meat. Will be eating here again and again and again. Prices are good as well.
