You can always count on Cote Brasserie. I really like their salads and truffle fries but they do a big gluten free menu with lots of options including full English breakfasts and classic British comfort food dishes. It’s so nice eating here in the summer with their outdoor tables on the river.
The host asked our group upon entering whether they were any allergies. I have celiac, and another guest of ours has a nut allergy. The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable, and the menu is well laid out to accommodate multiple allergies. There are many GF options! I had the beef cheek bourguignon and it was delicious. As the elderflower and strawberry crème brûlée, also delicious. If I were ever back in Windsor, I would definitely go back. I would also check out some of their other locations in the UK.
The Cote Brasserie chain has Coeliac UK accreditation, and a big selection of dishes on its GF menu. The manager there told me that they keep the kitchen GF and contain the gluten - in most restaurants, it is the reverse. I am a highly reactive coeliac and was fine eating there. Will definitely be trying out the other Cotes in the UK soon.
I was really impressed with this place. I was given a gluten free menu on arrival, they took the fact I was a celiac very serious. My food orders was always written on a different page to everyone else orders and the waitress wrote in bold I was a celiac. The food would arrive with a little gluten free flag in it. Even on the bill my gluten free order was in a subsection away from everyone else. The food was delicious and truly gluten free.
Amazing experience my boyfriend and I had the sharing roast which isn’t listed as gluten free but the waitress made every effort to accommodate, we had the chicken, beans, broccoli, roast potatoes gravy and my boyfriend had a Yorkshire which they were careful with keeping completely separated. Also had the pigs in blankets which were phenomenal. Overall great food and great atmosphere!
I've got to say the man that served us in Cote was brilliant. I had my own gf menu which was pretty impressive. Loads to choose from and I felt like the staff took my allergies very seriously. I always feel better when I get a flag in my food! Food was delicious and I would absolutely recommend this place.
A great dining experience for Coeliacs. It always feels so safe eating at Cotes restaurants. You are asked on arrival for any allergies/ intolerances. All dishes are marked using G.F flags. There is a separate gluten free menu with a wide variety of dishes. The fixed price menu does not charge extra for needing to eat gluten free. Staff are very knowledgeable about coeliac disease & the need for separate fryers etc.
We all had steak ,very good and staff was very helpful doing a gluten free meal
