Crabby's On The Pass

Kids grilled chicken with old bay seasoning and GF kettle chips were great for my son.

Location was great, fun beach restaurant with good service. Food and margs were a solid 3.5 stars. The seemingly safest GF option was the shrimp boil. Celiac and did not get sick :)

Went to Crabby’s on the Pass yesterday and ordered off their GF menu and was glutened badly. I have no idea what got me. I had Clam Chowder, Avocado Shrimp Salad and a few bites of Key Lime Pie. The waiter said all of their Key Lime Pie is GF but I am now wondering if that isn’t he case and I was served a non GF piece.

They do have a gf menu. Need to ask hostess for it. I had gf grilled shrimp, mashed potatoes and coleslaw. It was excellent! Also they have gf Key Lime Pie! It was so good! We actually ate here a couple times in the month we were down. I also made sure the server knew and noted it on our order for the kitchen.

The server was very knowledgeable and walked me through what I could and couldn't have. She knew I couldn't do anything in the fryer and said I'd need to bake anything rather than grill it as they grill their buns. I ended up going with the crab boil and it was delicious! The only bummer is that most of the safe options are also the most expensive.

Great experience. My waitress was very helpful navigating the menu. I had peel and eat shrimp and crab dip (I brought my own crackers- their chips are fried in a shared fryer). My husband, who is gluten sensitive, loves their pizza. He asks them to prepare it special for him. One of the women who works there understands cross contamination came by and informed us she would look after it.

Our server (Josh) was very knowledgeable. I'm not a seafood person so I got the steak with broccoli as my side. Both were delicious and I didn't get sick.

I was nervous when I called and the girl didn't seem to know anything. I decided to chance it when seeing the menu. Do glad I did! The manager happened to be up front when I got here and overhead me asking. They were so helpful! Blackened grouper with double corn. Delicious! If you get grilled be aware that they grill buns so asked for a separate cooking on a pan. Will definitely be back!
