I had the GF Hobo Scramble with GF toast. It took a little longer due to precautions taken to prepare.
Road tripping from Michigan. Always difficult to find Celiac friendly restaurants. Was pleasantly surprised with all of the GF options clearly marked on the menu. I had the GF pancake stack with eggs and bacon. It was fantastic and I felt fine after. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Great atmosphere! Highly recommend.
Used separate cooking pans. Came out separate with GF marker.

No dedicated fryer. Ordered steak and salad and told them I'm allergic and my salad came with a roll. Was afraid to try and order much.

The gluten free menu is integrated in the regular menu now, but very clearly labeled. The pancakes were fantastic!
Excellent service, wait staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about GF, they explained the precautions taken in the kitchen. Menu was clearly marked, many good options. Would definitely eat there again if we pass through Herkimer in the future!

I was a bit disappointed. They had a nice big gf menu. Unfortunately my blueberry pancakes were undercooked. Eggs and bacon were good and the service was great! Maybe it was an off day but I would still recommend giving it a try
Awesome food, good service, large portions. And safe - they clean a grill special for gf and don't butter anything in the kitchen to reduce cross-contamination. Definitely recommend.
What a gem! They are very knowledgeable and accommodating. They have a separate griddle for gf items that is continually cleaned. Had breakfast; pancakes, hash-browns and bacon. The portions were huge and delicious. No reaction and I am highly sensitive. Most importantly, however, the service and attentiveness in this traditional diner was second to none. This 50's styled diner is traditionally decorated and clean! They had a good sized gf menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
so incredibly gluten free celiac friendly! why? Because the owner's dearest friend is ultra sensitive celiac and they just wanted her to be able to eat out. the celiac friend taught them & made the menu. bless you all for making me feel normal & getting to eat at a diner! Great food I had eggs bacon hash browns toast, took egg salad tuna platter to go. can't say enough good things about this place!
Best gluten-free pancakes I've ever had. They are very concerned about providing safe and tasty food. They are also eager to learn and expand. Very friendly 😀

Amazing menus with amazing food! A little piece of heaven here on earth, complete with wonderful biscuits and gravy for all you Southerners at heart, plus gluten free pancakes to die for!!
We were on the road from Rochester to Albany and we knew we'd be looking for something to eat around Herkimer and Crazy Otto's popped up when I searched for GF in the area, so we tried it out. The service was fantastic and friendly. When I said I needed gluten free, the waitress explained that they use different prep space for cooking the gluten free items, so I felt really secure ordering. I asked for specific information about the bread, and she went back to find out what brand it was for me. The portions were huge, and I brought half home for breakfast which I'm really looking forward to. If I'm on the road I will definitely stop in again.

wow! it's been over 30 years since I've eaten here. Crazy Otto has really stepped up the game. now I will be making excuses to make the trek it's worth it.
Absolutely well thought out gf restaurant. The waitress took her time and explained the precautions they take. I will defnitely go again. I was not worried about cross contamination.
