Amazing! I went in and the store owner was awesome, spoke to me about her experience w celiac and has THE BEST GLUTEN FREE COOKIES EVER!!! It melted in my mouth, never ate anything so amazing, and the ice cream hit the spot, too. What is more they don't use coconut in everything so my daughter can eat there too!!! So excited TB o have found out new sweet spot, thank you!!!!
Gluten free ICE CREAM SANDWICHES! This place had three options for gluten free cookies (made in a separate area, warmed in a separate oven), and staff could tell me exactly which ice cream flavors and toppings were gluten free. They had separate utensils, scoopers, and prep areas. Try the salted caramel or butterscotch ice cream flavors!
Can’t believe this place doesn’t have more reviews.. They have three different gluten-free cookie flavors and offer gluten-free ice cream sandwiches! I watched them use a different ice cream scoop labeled gluten-free and had a mat under the cookie to avoid cross-contamination! So yummy!
First of this franchise in Colorado - with dedicated oven and counter space for GF cookies and knowledgeable staff/clear menu for GF ice creams. DF and Vegan options. Fun shop in a fun shopping area with delicious desserts.
They do not understand cross-contamination. They put my gf cookies in a shared warmer, reminded them I had celiac and then they put the now cross-contaminated cookies back in with the gf cookies.
I got the GF ice cream sandwich with two GF chocolate chip cookies. It was amazing! They have chocolate chip, double chocolate chip and snicker doodle gf flavors and several ice cream flavors that are safe. It was super rich and yummy!
Put my gluten free cookies in the same bag as the regular cookies, even though I was very specific that they needed to be separate. Admitted they made a mistake, but refused to give me a refund for the cookies I could no longer eat.
The gluten free chocolate chip cookies are good! The employees were very friendly and accommodating. No problem to change gloves and seemed knowledgeable about cross contamination.
Staff was unknowledgeable about Celiac and gluten free. No menu available to check for ingredients. Gluten free cookies placed next to regular cookies and didn’t know what ice cream was gluten free. When I asked which ones were they responded with “I think just the ones that would have gluten are the ones with like cookie dough and things like that”
They have GF cookies in a separate case, and they go to the back to get vegan ice cream (the only choice). The employee changed gloves. However, they use the same scoop to make the GF and vegan sandwiches, so the scoop touches the vegan cookies, which are not GF. Not celiac friendly, though this could easily be remedied with a separate dedicated GF scoop. They did have a bin for one, but the employee said it wasn’t used.
Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I have celiacs so I know when food is cross contaminated. The employees will wash their hands, put on new gloves and clean off the ice cream scooper if you explain you have gluten allergy. They also made sure that the cookies did not touch the rack or the counter in the oven. What an ice cream sandwich! So good!! I was not throwing up 3 hours later, which happens every time I eat gluten. I have since gone back many times. One note, the ice cream ingredient list does not say gluten free so I always get vanilla and I have been fine.
I had the gluten-free snickerdoodle cookie and it was really good! It was amazing warmed up!Be sure to ask which ice cream flavors are GF. Majority are, but there were a couple flavors that I’m surprised weren’t GF.
This place is great! The ice cream is delicious and they offer 3 different gf cookie options. Most of the ice cream flavors are gluten free. My only complaint is that their peanut butter ice cream is NOT gf.
What a treat! Not only the ability to have a GF ice cream cookie sandwich but to have a choice of 3 GF cookie flavors?! Daughter had choc chip / M&M cookie and I had white choc fudge, both GF and delish.
BE VERY CAREFUL and very explicit when ordering. Their GF cookies and ice. Team sandwiches are wonderful, but MAKE SURE you are very clear that you want both cookies GF. My daughter got two different cookies and asked for both GF, but they gave her one that was not GF. :( I told them they should be more careful because if someone wants one cookie GF then they probably don't want anything GF. Girl there basically told me I was wrong and lots of people only want one GF cookie >:( No apology. I've been too mad and afraid to go back after a year.
Awesome gluten-free ice cream sandwiches and a great experience! The girl helping me even offered to change her gloves, clean the surface, and use an ice cream scoop they keep in a separate dipper well.
The dairy free ice cream has soy in it and I've honestly had better GF cookies before. The ice cream is good and I liked how they warmed up the cookies before they put it on my ice cream sandwich. make sure to ask them for a bowl. otherwise you get your ice cream sandwich in a bag and it was much harder to ear that way.
Employee answered all questions & understood importance of avoiding cc for my daughter with celiac. Cookies are baked separately from those containing gluten. They are in the same display case but the gf cookies are above the baked good containing gluten. Employee cleaned & lined counter & changed gloves before handling my daughter's order. Pricey $4.99 for a cookie sandwich but she was thrilled that she could finally partake!
Although the ice cream is great, my experience was outstanding. She changed her gloves, sanitized the scoop, sanitized the knife, and opened a new ice cream so there was no cross contamination. Thank you so much for making sure I don't get sick from gluten :)
Absolutely outstanding. Delicious cookies and ice cream and superb awareness and care. I come here as often as I'm in the area!
Every time we have been there, as soon as we tell them it's a gluten allergy (I know, Celiac isn't an allergy but that's their verbiage), they change their gloves and use a scooper that's in a container for GF scoopers. They usually have at least 3 different kinds of GF cookies, what's not to love?!
DD was able to get a gluten-free vegan cookie with soy ice cream. She was in heaven. They are very careful when putting the ice cream on the cookies. I watched and asked questions. It's always a good idea to remind them if you are intolerant.
Great place. They are well trained in cross contamination. They have dedicated baking pans for the gluten free cookies so cleaning isn't a issue. They will ask if you need them to Change gloves to make your order or not. They even have dairy free coconut cream ice cream. Always a line, but worth the wait. I only wish that they had chocolate coconut cream ice cream.
Absolutely fantastic food, and even greater service. I went in expecting no gf cookies, and that I would just have to get a cup of ice cream....but on the contrary. They had a decent selection of gluten free cookies and soy ice cream. The dude even asked the magical "is it an allergy? Or Preference?" question. Not only that but he held the crowded line to heat up my cookie, offered to change his gloves, and even disinfected the counter in the mean time. To top it off, the cookie ice cream sandwich was damn delicious.10/10 would go again and again. 1,000 stars.
I cannot eat ice cream, but love that I can stop in and just buy a gluten-free cookie. Servers handle cookies carefully - Thanks! I've tried oatmeal and snickerdoodle and will be back! Cookies were soft and tasty. Maybe they'll add a sorbet or coconut-based ice cream sometime. I cannot have cow's milk.
A gluten free ice cream sandwich made with cookies and a slab of ice cream. The cookies are kept in a separate container and they'll change their gloves. The cookies aren't that great, but it's not often you can get a gluten-free ice cream sandwich.
The ice cream is great. The cookies (I tried GF chocolate chip) were a little lacking in my opinion. I don't have celiac, just a wheat sensitivity, so I did not ask about contamination risk. They did ask me if they needed to change their gloves due to my allergy.
they had wonderful ice cream and even gluten free cookies to make ice cream sandwiches. very popular place but worth the wait!
