Many gluten-free options on the menu. However, they do have cross contamination with the fryer. We went for breakfast and asked about the potatoes, obvious cross contamination. I was a little sad, because was looking forward to having some potatoes with my breakfast. The waitress/bartender took the extra step to go speak with the chef to see if they could make gluten-free breakfast potatoes for me. She did this without me knowing. ❤ They were delicious. What a win. My husband had the pastrami sandwich with the truffle chips, which was not gluten-free, but it looked delicious and he said tasted amazing. Two thumbs up for this joint. I’ll definitely be back.😍
The food was good and no one got sick but I felt uneasy eating here. We sat at the bar and the bartender was nice and laid back. He repeated back everything as he put it in. I’m DF and my husband is celiac and has a tomato allergy. His side salad came out with croutons and tomatoes so it had to go back. My GF burger came out with a fried onion ring on top (not super sensitive so I picked it off). I also said I had a dairy allergy and there was a side of ranch on my plate. Glad I asked about it! So overall, okay but I really couldn’t enjoy the meal waiting to see if I was going to get sick.
Very knowledgeable super friendly staff! Chef came out to explain what could be made gf and what couldn’t. He also explained right away that they didn’t have a dedicated fryer. Burgers and sandwiches are made with gf bread, which is then untoasted to avoid cc. Hubby had the gf redbird sandwich and was raving about it! (And just in case: I had the regular burger and fries and both were fantastic as well!)
My husband and I really enjoyed our dining experience here...we both thought the food was excellent for the brunch we had. He has no dietary restrictions, while I cannot have wheat or dairy. I was delighted to find a GF DF Eggs Benedict which I thought was superb. They did not use your typical muffins but I liked what they offered. The accompanying potatoes/veggies were great, too. They made excellent mimosas and we sat outside on a deck with a view. This place was recommended by a local. I am not celiac but have a respiratory reaction to gluten. No problem for me here.
They made a big mistake. We ordered the shrimp grits which was labled GF on the menu. We asked for a taste first because my daughter wasn’t sure if she would like it. They brought us a taste and she liked it. Upon the waiter’s return, we attemped to order it and the waiter said that The new chef put a chili lime sause in it that was not gluten free. Now obviously that is a huge mistake and my daughter soon had to go to the bathroom based on the taste she had.
Compliments to the waiter who was very sorry and very concerned. He comped our entire meal for the family. We felt it was necessary to post this review. Though their concern (particularly the waiter - manager never appeared) was appreciated.
Excellent food and service. Very accommodating to food allergies.
Food was good. They have a gluten free menu. Got there early, had great service from beginning to end.
Very fresh tasting food. They do you have a separate gluten-free menu and are happy to answer any questions you may have. Very polite service
