I've noticed a lot of reviewers stating they got sick from burgers made with gluten free buns. It's probably due to the fry sauce. They put it on most of the burgers. It has malt vinegar in it, therefore NOT gluten free. Perhaps gluten friendly. You can't expect everyone to know everything about gluten contamination. Do your research. Stay well!
Surprised to find gluten free hamburger buns and a dedicated fryer for the fries. Also gluten free cookies and brownies.
Dedicated gf fryer is great for fries! But if you plan on getting a hamburger watch out! I got sick from eating a hamburger even tho it was on a gluten free bun. I'm guessing it had to be from where the meat was cooked/buns toasted. It's such a bummer because if they were more cautious this would totally be a go-to for us. I used to love their burgers before I was celiac! But I've been sick for 2 days trying to get over being glutened, not sure it's worth the risk again.
Ummm def not GF--I love crown burger but they really shouldn't be listed. I agree with the prev review do not eat here with allergies!
They used to be GF friendly but tried to eat there more recently and nobody had any clue about how to do it. They still have a dedicated fryer, however the meat is placed on the same slab as the buns, gloves don't get changed and the dressings for the burgers are the same ones used on the regular buns. Unless something changes dramatically do not attempt if you have celiac disease.
