The staff seemed very knowledgeable and asked if I had an allergy when I asked for the gluten-free bun. It was then notated on my receipt and order. You’re probably much better here than at some other big chain. I can’t say if fries are cross contaminated because I opted to get something else. Either way, I had no reaction.
I get a double bacon deluxe maybe 4-6 times a year (I tell them it's an allergy and they mark it as such on the order board, although I'm not sure what difference it makes). I don't order any sides. The GF bun is average and crumbles easily, but it comes in a sealed bag and they warm it for you. All together it's tasty, and I haven't had any symptoms or issues with contamination. (I do have to ask for or bring my own condiments)
I ordered from a man who had some sort of “manager” badge so I was hopeful that it would be taken seriously when I specified an allergy. Unfortunately, he clearly had no idea how to input the gluten portion of the allergy alert, so our receipt just said “allergy-other”. He asked if she wanted fries with it and when I asked if they also fried their chicken in the fryer he was confused and answered yes. Then our food came out and it was just a regular bun, so I had to bring it back up and ask that it be remade and had to tell them that the gluten free bun should come in its own steamer bag. We were there with a hockey team or else I wouldn’t have had her eat it because I had lost all confidence. Thankfully she did not get sick, but I should not have had to walk them through it the way that I did.
Culver's newest addition to the area. Both front-line service & management here very knowledgable and careful with celiac/”medical food allergies.” Update: 01/26/25: Still very conscious and knowledgeable regarding GFree/Celiac! A regular stop for us when passing by!
Original Post: Among the most conscientious stores in the local chain. Even delivered our food separately to minimize cross contamination.
