The overall experience was awful. Our waitress was not helpful with GF item…just said ‘most things are.’ When I asked to point out what wasn’t GF, she clearly omitted items (pasta dishes). We ordered a GF pita, but luckily I asked to confirm our pita was GF when it was delivered to our table because it wasn’t. And once the replacement arrived, it was stale. The rest of our food was just not good. My husband and I both left most of our entrees untouched. I also think I did get some gluten, as I was sick the next day.
Have been here a few times. Usually good and no problems. Last time was Father’s Day and I felt ill before I even left the restaurant. Maybe it was just too busy. I was tempted by the gf pitta so maybe I just should have known better. Normally I would stick to meet, salad or veg.
This place is delicious and for small plates they provide a ton of food. The chef has family members who have celiac disease and he make gf pita bread which was outstanding
We ate here for my birthday. They gave me gluten free ‘pita bread’ and we had the hummus platter, and a bunch of small plates, like roasted olives, stuffed grape leaves, portabella mushrooms, etc. It’s mostly Greek inspired food, so it’s a very mild flavor profile. We enjoyed our meal and I did mot have any bad reactions. They didn’t have a gluten and dairy free dessert so I had a bowl of berries, which was nice. My family enjoyed the other offerings as well.
The owner of this restaurant really “gets” quality. The gluten free pitas (and regular pita that my partnered ordered) with the salad sampler and hummus were to die for. The menu is so gluten friendly that you have to ask what is NOT gluten free. The service is prompt and friendly, and there has not been a single item on the menu that I’ve ordered that has not been absolutely delicious. Just can’t say enough about how this is by far the best gluten free location in Baltimore. Go here. Tell your friends.
We ate at Cipriani’s last fall, I reached out to them via email so I could ask all my gf questions including “is there cross contamination?”. After assuring me I would be safe, we went for dinner to celebrate a friend’s promotion. I told the server I emailed with the chef who assured me on my gf safety, the appetizers arrived with gf pita for me, the server pointed out what was a no no for me. We ordered our entrees, everyone’s meal came but mine. 20 minutes later mine arrived with a gluten item on the dish. I informed the server, he came back in 5 minutes with gluten item removed. I explained what they did was cross contamination and this would make me sick. Remove the item from our bill and I won’t eat dinner. The next day I emailed the owner who said to me that because of the pandemic and outdoor eating only, they can afford to pay their waiters very much and ..... not “ geez I’m so sorry!”. Never again.
So many amazing options! Attentive knowledgeable staff. Run, don’t walk!
No GF menu but large portion of menu is gluten free. Great food! Owner came over and assured us that what we were ordering would be GF.
The whole menu is gluten free except the pita bread and some of the desserts. The food is fantastic!
