In full disclosure, in my opinion, going to ice cream shops are always risky so take this review with caution:
We heavily frequent Daddy's Dairy (1-2x/month) - primarily Norwood now but also Braintree, Stoughton, and Randolph too.
The soft serve and Italian ice are just fine - of course, be mindful of toppings.
For hard serve, They always wash the spoon when we ask. They are NOT willing to scoop from a new container -- but somehow we've been okay with gluten free ice cream and digging down to avoid the top where cross contact is likely at its highest.
We are typically very careful with gluten as my daughter IS symptomatic... But, we are an ice cream loving family.
So, we've haven't had any issues (thank goodness) but, if you're a symptomatic celiac, do your own due diligence for the hard served ice cream.
(Cross posted to the Daddy's Dairy locations we've been too as our experience is the same.)
