They didn’t have a separate gluten free menu but we asked what was gluten free and they knew and also told us options they could make gluten free. Really good food.
I'd give it a zero if possible. Are there yesterday. The service was bad. They have no gluten free menu and the server had no idea what gluten was. Horrible. On top of this, it wasn't that busy at 9am...no exaggeration when I say it was 50 minutes from the time we ordered until she brought out 1 meal. Then 5 minutes later the rest came out. Please don't waste your money. The Handlery Hotel recommends this place because it's downstairs... but you'd be much happier at Chipotle, 10 feet down the street.
It would be no stars if I could. My 'ham and cheddar' Omelet had a melted slice of American for cheese in it, and the fried potatoes were still raw. My wife's food smelled spoiled. WAY over priced for breakfast. Find somewhere else...
Excellent service and menu choices with gluten free options. I had the wild salmon which was cooked to perfection! It is in the theater district, and the food is fresh, so you will pay top dollar. It's worth it to me to have a Knowledgeable staff and excellent food. We ate dinner here and it was lovely. They were also conscientious about our time as we were on our way to the theater.
I was a bit concerned because of some negative reviews, but because of time, I had to grab something close to the hotel. I asked for and received a GF menu for breakfast. The atmosphere is very nice and quiet. I had the Cobb omelette. It was too large but very good. Service was friendly and excellent. They seem very knowledgeable and concerned about cross contamination. The down side is there are no carbohydrates except for the fruit. And unfortunately I am also allergic to one of the fruits offered in the fruit salad so I had to get the tomatoes. It gets three stars because, what they fix is very well done. But because a low carbohydrate meal is not that palatable to me, I would probably not go back. But in a pinch, breakfast is a safe option if you do not miss the bread and potatoes.
No separate gluten-free menu but the staff was very knowledgable and the portions were huge! Good quality ingredients too, we went here both mornings of our vacation!
Idk how this place got five stars. Yes, they have gluten free options but the food tastes terrible. I wouldn't be surprised if they made the omelets in bulk. I wouldn't recommend. Tourist trap.
Great breakfast option, went back for dinner too! Server was more than helpful when it came to gf options and assured us the prep was safe! Great food!
A fair amount of gluten free breakfast choices. No gluten free bread - provided with fruit or tomato as a side. Fruit choices were pineapple, watermelon & oranges. I'm allergic to oranges so they just took them off and one of my watermelon slices tasted like oranges...
Staff knowledgeable. Lots of choices. Quite expensive, in any case.
I ate here twice while visiting for both breakfast and lunch and loved it! They were knowledgeable and even checked on my mixed drink for me when I asked. I'm very sensitive and didn't have any trouble.
Had Christmas dinner here, was delicious! Would definitely recommend this place for a cozy nice night out. Great gluten free options. We eat dairy free as well and had no trouble finding something here.
Great GF menu and good choices. Very attentive staff.
GF menu and educated staff. No issues in multiple visits.
Separate GF menu, I had pork chop w mashed potatoes, veggies - excellent. Good service, nice booth.
limited menu very nice. high end and higher priced as it is attached to hotel.
Nicely identified GF menu. Hotel restaurant, not my fav, but nice to know they know what is up! Would eat here again.
Big selection on gf menu and knowledgable staff! Cute, old, sf diner vibe..
No branch in DC anymore
Everything was fine. Our service was good. But there is NO gluten-free menu. You will have to take your chances.
Only gluten free items on the menu were salads and the salmon. Also one of the tacos but those were an appetizer. The steaks aren’t even labeled as gluten free. We got up and left. Disappointing
I have eaten here many times but it's been a few years. Never had a problem. Tonight the bartender told me there is a good chance everything is cross contaminated. Like most California restaurants, they apparently only cater to those who pretend to be gluten free.
