Great food and service! They asked if I was coeliac or gluten intolerant and then made sure to cook the bread separately so as to not cross contaminate it

The cafe and bookstore were so charming! Perfect spot for lunch! The staff knew all about gluten free and celiac disease. I had The Veggie, an open face sandwich, an iced coffee, and a blueberry scone. Following the advice from another person’s review, I asked for a frozen scone and they heated it up for me to avoid contamination. They heated up my gluten free bread as well in the oven on a separate tray rather than using the gluten toaster. The vibe was so chill. The staff was so kind. They had great books for sale and even narcan resources.
They have items naturally gluten free, along with gf items (mini Bundt cakes, almond bars, scones and gluten free bread). They don’t have a separate gf toaster, so when I ordered The Protein sandwich (open face style sandwich), I didn’t have it toasted. It was really good and tasted fresh. I also had a mini berry Bundt cake and a Maker’s Mint specialty coffee. Would definitely go back here. Really friendly and clean space.
Great little coffee house/book store. Not very many options, only a scone but it was delicious. It was on the same board as a gluten containing lemon bar which concerned me a little so the nice lady offered to get me a scone from the freezer which hadn’t been near any gluten. Very good ice coffee too!
Everything was delicious! Lots of GF goodies and alternatives! We will definitely be back!
Gf items marked on menu. They have GF bread but I did the egg bites with no issues.
