Amazing food. They confirmed they would change gloves and have a clean prep area. Had gluten free rolls.

Excellent food, extensive GF menu, GF “dinner rolls”, great and gluten-aware service. Pricey, but worth it for a special occasion. Sent me home with 2 GF maccaroons.

Davios does an amazing job with gluten free. They have a huge gf menu (you have to ask for it as it’s a separate menu) that includes homemade gnocchi and pasta. They are very cautious about food allergies. After I mentioned I had a gluten allergy (Celiac) they brought out gf bread without asking (in its own basket which had a different color napkin to indicate gf even though it was very obvious which bread was not gf), automatically subbed the bread that came with the app I ordered with gf bread (a different kind than the free gf bread) and explained which items on the dessert menu could be made gf. For each course they brought out they confirmed with me that my dish was gf without me asking.
Pricey, but so worth it to feel safe!

Unfortunately I have to share that our daughter was glutened and very sick after dinner last night. She had ordered pasta and we were told they were out but had some GF penne. Not sure if that is the source but she’s been very sick and we’ve lost a day of vacation. Appreciate that they seemed knowledgeable and accommodating but she definitely was glutened so celiacs beware.

Wonderful place for a fancy upscale meal. We felt very well taken care of. Make sure to allow plenty of time to place order and receive food.

Lots of options in the gluten free menu. Food was the best I’ve had in years out of a restaurant. Service was top notch.
Their home made gluten free bread was really good. The desert we picked out, so good.
Will be going to Davios again in the future

Really good! They can make almost everything gluten free. I tried two different pastas (they were able to do a half portion of each) & it was delicious!

Staff was extremely helpful and they had a GF menu with a lot of options. Highly suggest it

Lots of awesome choices ! They brought GF bread out too :) I had the pasta bolognese and panna cotta :)
Staff was knowledgeable about celiac disease and gluten free dining . Separate GF menu with tons of selection. Food was delicious- homemade gnocchi with mushrooms was out of this world. They Even serve yummy GF rolls instead of bread basket. Friendliest staff I have ever met. They really go out of their way to make sure you are enjoying your experience. Service was definitely 5 star! I highly recommend this restaurant.

This restaurant really is amazing. GF menu with so many options. Waitress saw I had a GF menu and immediately mentioned it and asked if I was celiac. Then brought out warmed GF bread - first time I have ever been offered. Then the most delicious GF pasta meal followed by complimentary chocolates (GF). The waitress was knowledgeable and so professional. Cannot recommend more highly - so good!!

Phenomenal. The hostess asked about my allergy, and communicated it to both my waitress and the guy who brought THE MOST AMAZING GF ROLLS. I told the waitress I was trying to decide between two pasta dishes, and she offered that I could do half and half. Both were amazing. I didn’t have room for dessert, but there were 2 gf options. Overall the staff was super knowledgeable about the gf options and the food was really good.
Delicious food, conscientious staff. Gf bread was yummy
The staff was super accommodating and very friendly! One of the best meals I’ve had in a very long time! I would recommend this place to everyone going to Boston, whether they are gluten-free or not!!

This place is FANTASTIC! Amazing GF bread and house made pasta and gnocchi. I couldn't decide and the waitress offered to have them do half portions so I could try a couple things and it was PERFECT. The lobster risotto and the Bolognese were both truly wonderful. I stopped and just savored as soon as I put them in my mouth. I sat at the chef's bar and had very attentive service with the manager stopping by to confirm my gluten free food. Truly could not have had a better experience. I WILL be back.
Came here for our anniversary dinner and was blown away by the service, atmosphere, attention to detail, and GF offerings. We've been big fans of Nebo, but Davio's may honestly have become our new favorite restaurant in Boston for special occasions!

I never write reviews but this is important. In theory this restaurant is celiac friendly. They have a whole gluten free menu. I ordered the gluten free sausage and broccoli raab pasta and smoked chicken and walnuts with cream sauce. They had a gluten free pasta option and gluten free gnocchi. Both of the items I ordered came with the same kind of pasta, so I asked that the cream sauce dish come with the gluten free gnocchi instead. When my meal came, both dishes came with the gluten free pasta. My waiter didn't write down my order (also anxiety provoking for someone with celiac) so I don't know if it was his mistake or the kitchen staff's. I sent the one dish back and had them make it with the gluten free gnocchi as ordered. But there were so many people running my food, (not my waiter) that I worried the whole time I was eating it that they had accidentally given me gnocchi with wheat instead. I was greeted with a basket of wheat rolls and as I was finished a cart of wheat desserts were wheeled to my table. The food was amazing but I'm going to be worried about the gnocchi :( I have celiac and hashimotos and celiac response flares my hashimotos autoimmune response. The only reason why I went here is because Nebo was closed on Sunday My experience was much better there. If you need gluten free in boston, I suggest Nebo!

Went to Davio’s for the first time this past weekend with my boyfriend for his birthday. They have a huge GF menu with the best steak I’ve ever had. The waiter even brought out some complimentary GF fudge for him after the meal! Will definitely be going back!

Very knowledgeable and educated on celiac. Ate dinner and felt great!

Unfortunately, Davio's was one of my favorite GF friendly restaurants that I had never got sick at until this week. The GM informed me after eating 5-6 bites that the meal I was given was not allergen free (GF/dairy-free). Although they did make me a new dish and removed the meal from my bill, I still suffered the consequences of this mix up that night. Please advocate for yourself to ensure your dish is indeed GF!

Extensive menu (availabile online) with antipasta/salad /pasta /main course/sides sections with 8+ choices each. Attentive service, and they were able to easily accommodate my dairy allergy as well. Portions are large, reflecting the steakhouse approach. The braised pork belly was the highlight.
tons of selection, extremely celiac safe, and delicious food.

Very celiac friendly with a great menu. One of the best places I have been to. All parts of the menu have excellent gluten free options..

Beautiful restaurant and service. Extensive GF menu, better than anticipated. And when you can't decide between the penne with lobster and uni butter or the gnocchi with mushrooms & truffle oil, get a half/app serving of both instead! We also had the lobster risotto. There was a significant chunk of fresh lobster with each bite! They'll bring out fresh gf rolls (popover-ish in looks but more of a muffin texture that leaves a little to be desired but definitely fresh and warm and so nice to have a gf roll that isn't a warmed up Udi's) My husband has an auto-immune disease, so can't confirm right away whether or not he's been glutened, but they seem to take it very seriously. Our server said her sister-in-law is celiac so she appreciates the struggle for options and dining out. We felt confident they understand the importance of a GF meal. I will mention, servers seem to work as team, so maybe make sure they're all aware of allergy/restrictions. Oh, I forgot, we also had the crispy pork belly for an app. Delicious. Would go back today if we weren't still full from last night!
The most extensive gluten free menu I've ever encountered in an Italian restaurant. In fact, I was out of town attending a conference & ended up eating there all three nights of my stay. I sat at the bar & was treated like royalty. The gnocchi was out of this world as were the two other dishes I had!!! Anna, Danielle, Kim, Erin & Juan the bar back were attentive to my every need, friendly beyond belief, & helpful at recommending food & wine. In fact, my experience was so positive, I am driving 13 hours just to return to Boston & Davio's with my husband & daughter. That's how much I loved these people & the food. I wish it was closer. It is a MUST visit for gluten free dining at it finest!!!
They are well versed in celiac and GF and have a gluten free menu bigger than many restaurant's full menus! They also have a GF penne that they will serve with any of their pasta sauces. They don't make it in house, but they have it, which works for me.

Great gluten free menu. My son, who has celiac, said it was the best gluten free pasta he has ever had.

I have to say I was blown away with the choices on their menu. From appetizers to dessert there were a number of choices. They even had mini muffin rolls to start which was fabulous! The food was outstanding as well as the service.

Want to try soon !
the gluten free gnocchi was great! you could tell it wasn't the real stuff, but its better than any other gluten free I've had. the bread was great, such a luxury to have bread and oil! The bar staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. We will definitely go back.
Other than the fact that my steak was burnt ( and I am not the only person to say this), I got the same meal as my roommate, and all they did was take stuff off my plate. No substitutions, which is very cheap for a restaurant this expensive. It was sad when our meals came (and my plate had a lot less food on it) because I really felt that it was sad I have a gluten problem, which rarely happens to me. If you want a nice steak house, go to the Capitol grille. It is so great there!
Great large gluten free menu with vegetarian gluten free options. Great for a date night or special occasion.
Fabulous food, great service and a terrific gf menu. Loved it.
Wish I could give it a higher rating but this is the 3rd time coming here where we left disappointed. For such an expensive restaurant, you expect the best. Pizza crust is dry, flat and brittle. Paninis are an over toasted udis roll. When they brought me my Panini it came with french fries, and I said oh wow the french fries are gluten-free? And they immediately grabbed them for me saying- no no that is not gluten-free and I said I need the whole meal to be gluten free and they said oh the paninis is- and were not willing to take it back to the kitchen. The server said yeah i kept telling them it had to be gluten free but was worried they wouldn’t listen. Not worth the price or hassle.

The staff were knowledgeable about the separate gluten free menu. Many options to choose from including appetizers and desserts. The server was friendly and the service was outstanding. The prices are typical for an upscale restaurant. Policies in place to reduce risk of cross contact. Pizza cooked in same oven but separate area and utensils. My pizza was brought to the table separately from the other meals. I enjoyed the complimentary bread and the pizza was good. No ill effects from eating here and will definitely go back. As a sensitive celiac, I felt as safe as possible at a non dedicated restaurant.

I have ordered takeout from here 6 or 7 times, and have received items with gluten three times now. If you receive bread with your order that does not look like a muffin, or if you receive pasta that is not caserecci, I would be careful. The food is absolutely 5 stars though when they are not being careless.
