I made a reservation for my birthday dinner here and made a note I was gluten free. They had gluten free bread waiting for me at the table, went over everything I could eat on the menu and went through all the gluten free dessert options at the end of the night. The food and service were both amazing.
First time here at Davio’s and definitely won’t be our last, the food and the service is amazing a little on the expensive side but well worth it, I don’t mind paying top dollar for top of the line fresh ingredients , also the service was great I have never experienced such attention to the customers needs , staff is very knowledgeable about the menu that made our dine experience even better, and the menu has so many gluten free options that this is going to be our place to come eat every time we are here in the Dallas Tx area.
This restaurant makes DELICIOUS gluten free pasta! We tried both the gnocchi and a noodle pasta and it tasted exactly like regular pasta! They have a dedicated GF menu and dedicated cooking space. They have homemade GF bread which was also delicious! We enjoyed the GF cannolis which were a nice alternative to the real version! We will definitely be back soon when we have a pasta craving!
First class service; assured us multiple times that our food was prepared with the utmost concern for cross contamination (including a shellfish allergy). There is an entire menu just for gf and there are so many options it was really hard to choose. We had gf rolls. I had the octopus appetizer and then risotto for my main course. They even had three gf dessert options but I was way too full. It is pricey but great for special occasions or a splurge!
I attended a wedding rehearsal dinner here during Veteran's Day week-end. Peter Joly, the manager, made this one of the most memorable and amazing meals I have ever eaten. I am not only allergic to wheat/flour, but sulfites (found in wine and wine vinegars) and all milk products. He had his chefs make me a risotto and tuna steak with veggies, so decadent I took a picture of it. He also had a dessert of about 3 cups of luscious, ripe blueberries, blackberries, strawberries and raspberries> I was nervous because there were so many allergens; Peter checked on me frequently and made my first time as a customer to Davio's very special and memorable.
My wife has celiac and today was her birthday. She had said that she wanted to get Italian for her birthday, and I thought this place would be a great option since it has a gluten free menu. They even let us put our dietary restrictions on the reservation. When we got there, we quickly realized that our waiter was not being attentive to our gluten free needs. When ordering, we tried to make it as clear as possible that the gluten restriction was because of an allergy, but the waiter was not very attentive. A few hours later, we found out my wife got glutened by something we ate at the restaurant. They lure you in by letting you put your restrictions on the reservations and having gf menus ready for you, but don’t fall for it. If you have celiac, avoid this place at all costs.
Great service, attention to details and gf accommodations from start to end. Didn’t get sick (celiac).
This restaurant has an extensive gluten free menu. They specialize on gluten free options.
