Great place! Unlike another reviewer, I’m very pleased Deanna’s uses heart healthy canola and vegetable oils, not coconut oil. The American Heart Association website gives info on which oils will help prevent “sketchy artery clogging” and it isn’t coconut oil.

Excellent gluten free bread and many other bakery products. Also take and bake pizza.

Love Deanna’s! Everything is amazing, but especially the dinner rolls, baguettes and cakes. Little known fact: she has a dedicated gluten free pizzeria and deli over at Fran’s Original Farm stand (not farmstand west) where you can get hot pizza and huge, delicious, made-to-order sandwiches. It’s not advertised well but it’s an amazing hidden gem in Escondido! I am so glad that I have such an amazing gf bakery right here in my town.

I got a snickerdoodle cookie and carrot cake from the farm stand over the hill on citracado, I’ve also had their buns at Burger Bench. All are quite tasty, the carrot cake is possibly the best I’ve ever had. My only knock on this place is their use of sketchy artery clogging oils like vegetable and canola. I’d be happy to pay the additional cost for product if they used avocado or coconut oil instead.

I order their allergen free dinner rolls and flatbread online. Love them!
I can't believe three people voted this place as "not Celiac friendly" just because they didn't get in! Yes, they are closed on weekends- but they are a dedicated facility!!! Perfectly safe, and you can get fresh baked bread and pies, which is so rare!
Yes
This is not a place you can walk in and purchase items. You can call and special order for pick up but they are not very friendly and do not encourage walk- ins, which is really too bad since there aren't any other gluten free restaurants in Escondido. I highly recommend 2Good2Be in RB.
No longer a storefront or cafe.
Not open on Thursday in May 2015
not only are they closed on weekends but, this place looked closed down. so disappointed to drive to find this place and it's closed!
Best bread ever... I haven't tried the rest of the menu but the bread speaks for itself.

Amazing products and even more amazing prices. For $40, I walked out of Deanna's with over two huge paper bags of baked goods. I would have paid easily three to four times that anywhere else. You can also have items delivered to your house!

Our family loves treating ourselves to Deanna's pastries. They're perfect to bring to our children's class and friend's birthday parties so they don't feel left out (my children are all affected by either celiac disease or gluten sensitivity), so we are especially glad that this is a dedicated facility that also doesn't use preservatives.
My 7 year old's favorites are: 1) banana bread 2) sugar cookies (which she donated at the Kid Start Wellness Foundation event she hosted) 3) vanilla cupcakes
My 11 year old's favorites include: 1) Deanna's sugar cookies 2) Her frosting (ok..that is not sold separately, but it is the best!) 3) Deanna's chocolate cupcakes
My 14 year old's favorite's include her 1) Sugar Cookies 2) Banana Bread 3) Tie between the brownies and her
chocolate cupcakes
My husband and I are most in love with her pizza crust, pies, and brownies.
Yes
I've had their focaccia bread, amazing! That's my only experience.
The denser breads are ok... The cupcakes and stuff are nice... I really really really want them to succeed!
I've had their cupcakes and pizza crust which are both really good, but I don't really care for their bread, it's pretty dry. But their other items are good, but they need to work on their bread.
It's GF. It's safe to eat. But that's all I've got to say about it for a positive review. The bread that I've had if theirs (which has been only their dairy-free offerings) have been bland and boring. Maybe their dairy-full breads are better tasting?
