This is my favorite restaurant. The menu options for GF is fantastic. The waitress we had is celiac and she offered suggestions of other items the restaurant makes that are gluten free too.
Great food! They had a special gf menu and knowledge staff. My steak was cooked perfectly and they had gf pasta. Food was very reasonably priced (24 oz steak for $26- that’s a deal!). They have gf desserts, although I was to stuffed to have any. If you go on a busy night, you will be seated almost immediately, the food will just take awhile. This is understandable because of the size of the place. Overall, I didn’t get sick and loved the food. Would highly recommend!
Curbside to go is great. Had gf penne vodka, they put the sauce separate to keep from getting mushy. The sauce is spicy, I like spicy foods but by far the spiciest vodka sauce I ever had. Only reason I dropped a star is because they included bread with my meal. Of course I was smart enough to call and ask if it was gf and she said no and didn't really realize what the issue would have been.
Eat here with success. They are knowledgeable, and offer many gf options, including gf pasta.
had a wonderful meal there on new years eve.there was about an hour waiting, but we stood at the bar,had a few drinks, and it was enjoyable.our meal was delish.all 4 of us were very very happy.i was impressed, because most times on new years eve, something always goes wrong.....this experience was very enjoyable.the delmonicos in Utica is by far one of my favorite restaurants.the greens are by far the best around....thank you for such an enjoyable evening.we'll be back very soon....
The staff had no issue making my food gluten free. I called before I went and they said all the steaks are gluten free and cooked on a safe grill. There is gluten free options marked on the online menu but I didn't see them on the menu in the restaurant. Food was delish and would definitely eat there again. I forgot to specify the type of alcohol and they remade it for me without a problem.
Our server was exceptionally accommodating. True GF items marked on the menu. They were will to work to make other items GF. I had the wedge salad (no balsamic drizzle) and shrimp scampi with GF pasta. Confirmed they cook the pasta in a different pan than regular pasta. My meal was tasty and I had no issues. My friend’s demonico steak was amazing and they loved the bread. Would definitely recommend this to anyone with Celiac.
I didn't get sick. That is the good news. Items were marked but we double checked because sauces can get questionable. One of the downsides is that the waitress was so confident that it didn't inspire confidence in me. I did eat from the edges of my plate because I felt like that was a source of cross contact bringing the dishes out to the tables. The other downside has nothing to do with food. It was the first restaurant I've been to in awhile where groups of people were smoking at the entrance. Odd. Anyway, a family member loves this place and I would go again to have a meal out with them.
