Denny's

On a road trip…. Not a lot of restaurant choices as our top choice was closed. Checked Denny’s menu online and there were GF options….so we went. Asked questions and staff gave the right answers. Apologized that I didn’t get the GF English muffin (couldn’t find the muffins in the kitchen). Half the food came cold but couldn’t get attention of staff so ate as it was. Within 20 minutes from completing my meal the reaction began … UGG 🥺… have at least 5 days of on the road travel and I’m bloated like a ballon and the headache has begun. Do Not Go Here! Would give a Minus score if possible.

Hopefully it was just the waitress we had and the whole place isn't careless. Of course their menu let's you know what's gf. My son and I tried to order and I did the whole "I want this, but I need it gluten free" and she said it comes how it comes, if it says gf then it is. I replied I understand, but I still like to let you know so precautions are taken in the process. ie: changing gloves, cooking separately. Then my son ordered gf pancakes. When they came out they looked a little not gf. So my husband went to ask if they are and the lady said if the menu said they are then they are. She just refused to help, take us seriously or anything. So the stray dogs got pancakes that day since they were in fact not gluten free. I spent the rest of the day sick from being glutened. Should have just walked out at the beginning.

I got a custom omelet and substituted fruit for hash browns just because i didn’t want to risk it. I declined the GF English muffin because it is toasted on the same equipment as regular bread. The omelet was good and I didn’t get sick.

We really enjoy Denny's in both locations! Great food...great employees! It's a family atmosphere and enjoyable meals there! Clean and friendly! Kenneth and Susan Mettlach
