First, thank u for gf donuts. Always a special treat. The ones we had were more like round baked cakes than fried donuts. They were not my fave but my husband loved them! Personal choice

Tried the GF crumb cake. Tasty. Wish there were other options but other non gf folks enjoyed their choices.

I couldn't wait to visit Deviant after reading that they had "several" gf options, but when we got there, they only had 1. It was a muddy buddy chocolate donut, and it was really good, but it was still just one, out of 15ish different regular flavors. The outdoor seating is nice, and the flowers were blooming everywhere, and I still got my donut. Maybe they offer more during the regular season.

This was a fav place of mine before being diagnosed, and I’m so grateful they offer gluten sensitive options! They are clear they cannot guarantee cross contamination but they take all allergens seriously and do their best. I ordered ahead for a holiday and they kept the GF donuts in a fully separate container, and we had no issues. Still the best donuts ever, even gf!

We travelled over an hour and 20 minutes to get these donuts. We've been following them on social media for quite a while and were super excited to finally try them. You can't pre-order on Sunday for Monday because they come out with new flavors on Monday so when we arrived and were told there were no Gluten Sensitive Donuts it was rather giant disappointment. Please enjoy the picture of my freezer Donuts I ate at home with anger in my heart.

Fun and yum. They had 2 gluten sensitive options. The one I choose was chocolate espresso and it was super moist and yummy.

Definitely not safe for celiacs. There are two donuts on the menu that are labeled "gluten sensitive." They are on the same shelf and in some cases even touching the vegan donuts made with normal wheat flour. I'm surprised at the reviews that say this place is safe for celiacs. It is not.

Fun shop to visit. One gf offering at a time. When we visited, it was a chocolate donut topped with chocolate frosting and puppy chow. It was more of a donut-shaped cupcake than a true donut. But who doesn’t love cake for breakfast?

My daughter had a honey cinnamon donut which was marked gluten-sensitive (they aren’t dedicated GF) and she loved it!! No ill effects

Donut was one of the best I’ve had. They bake them to prevent contamination in the fryer. Cake style donut, not dense at all. Today’s flavor was lemon poppyseed and it was very flavorful and delicious.
You can check the current flavor online, and can order a minimum of 6 online at least one day in advance.

The gluten free donuts we ordered were good and I did not get sick. However, they had a very minimal selection and not very many options.

I am so glad we tried Deviant Donuts after reading other raving reviews. What a perfect weekend to be in Mystic for princess themed donuts. We got there a few minutes before they opened to ensure we got what we wanted. My 6 year old was over the moon with how beautiful her “Ariel” donut was. And it tasted AMAZING!

After reading a couple positive reviews we decided to try out Deviant Donuts. The gluten free options are labeled GS (sensitive) on their menu and they had two options on the Saturday we were there. I also requested they put the donuts in a separate container from our regular selections and they did. We ordered ahead the night prior as it was my sons 9th birthday and I wanted to be sure he would get a celebratory treat and it wouldn’t be sold out. I’m glad we did because the line was long! His two options were very good. Both were a cake style donut and he loved them. A bit sweet for me but he was thrilled for his first bakery donut since his diagnosis in February. The texture and quality were great. One day later and he didn’t get sick so I wanted to be sure to report back here!

I hardly ever see gf donuts, so I was pumped to find some here. They were yummy but more like cake than a donut. They have extremely elaborate frosting and decorations on the donuts. Overall great treat, just not exactly a classic donut

Every time we’re in Mystic we’re certain to stop at Deviant. As a celiac I feel very comfortable getting donuts and coffee from them. They’re always spot on and delicious.

Went during COVID. Has outside seating. Run very well - have one entrance for entering and one for leaving, social distancing observed. Touchless payment with credit card. I am very reactive and had no reaction to the Gluten Sensitive doughnuts. Cake doughnuts are delicious. They were in a separate case from the gluten ones. Coffee was also phenomenal. Highly recommend.
Yes
They bake the donuts in separate pans alone. And make them fresh.
My 2 boys (9&11) are Celiac. I eat gf only as well. These are the best gf donuts we’ve ever had! Very comparable to gluten containing... just as good. They had chocolate espresso and vanilla glazed. They have 2 varieties of gf daily. I recommend ordering online the night before... I hear they sell out fast! They are pricey... $22 for 6 donuts. But sooo worth it.
Guy at the counter was very nice and knowledgeable. Order ahead to be sure you get some. Have to order in quantities of 6.

They usually feature 2 gluten free donuts a week. They are hands down the best donuts I’ve ever had! Although I can not eat their other options, everyone I bring there loves their donut as well!! Highly recommend for everyone!

OUTSTANDING!!!! Best GF combos and flavors! The one complaint is that they sell out quickly!!!
Yes
Only got coffee but several bakery items identified clearly as gf
They only have GF donuts Friday-Sunday and today they had chocolate cookie dough & strawberry shortcake available!! They both are the MOST DELICIOUS GF donuts I have ever had. Not sure how celiac friendly, I only have a intolerance but definitely recommend to anyone looking for GF donuts. So so delicious!
I didn’t know that The Vault featured Deviant Donuts until I was walking through the village one day and saw a sign for gourmet donuts. I ended up calling after I found out that they offer gluten free donuts on the weekends. My son’s birthday was coming up and because he doesn’t like cake we decided to do donuts instead. That weekend I ended up getting rocky road and fruity pebble gluten free donuts. The rocky road was a chocolate lovers dream; chocolate cake donut with a ganache topping and center, topped with marshmallows and nuts. The fruity pebble was a glazed cake donut covered with fruity pebbles with a filling. I was very impressed with these donuts and definitely recommend them if you want to splurge! I’ll be back!
