Literal gift from God! I walked in with my mom & I was incredibly happy. I haven’t been to a bakery bakery that I could eat from since I was 19 & I am 32 now. Will definitely be getting my cakes desserts etc. from here for the rest of my earthly life.
Got
-peanut butter chocolate cookie 🍪
-cinnamon rolls (pictured comes with frosting)
-chocolate covered marshmallows on a stick with m&ms on top.
All are 🔥
This bakery is an excellent GF bakery. Everything I have gotten here has been delicious. My only complaint is that they make pretty much everything with rice flour. I try not to overdo it with rice because rice isn’t good for you either! I would love to see them start making some things with chick pea flour and almond flour and tapioca flour. I mainly get the cheesecakes now because they contain very little rice flour. The cheesecakes come in many different flavors and are phenomenal.
Wow! Have had the amazing chocolate peanut butter cake…SO good, brownies, macarons, crème puffs, cookies, dinner rolls, biscuits. Maybe the most delicious thing I have ever eaten since being gluten free…the ice cream pop with cookie dough and peanut butter coating! Staff is super sweet. So nice to not have to worry about contamination.
Okay, so the thing is that everything looks very pretty... but most of it doesn't taste very good.
The cakes are dry and mostly tasteless. The cookies are dry, crumbly, and overly sweet. Same with the macarons, and I love sugar, but these literally hurt my tongue. The cheesecakes have a weird underlying flavor like maybe an artificial sweetner?
The frozen cinnamon rolls are okay and so are the cream puffs, but you can find better cakes, cookies, and cupcakes at the grocery store.
It's unfortunate because they know how to decorate and the place has potential, but I think most go there because the other bakery in town closed and we have few options.
This is a dedicated gluten free bakery and everything is delicious. Some things are a little too sweet for me, but I pick up things every now and then around the holidays and having company. They create beautiful holiday themed desserts. My favorites are the cream puff, cinnamon rolls, and chocolate Nutella birthday cake.
We ordered some macaroons, brownie and some chocolate chip cookies. Everything was delicious so glad we found this bakery. Definitely recommend it if you have gluten intolerance/celiac.
I love it here! The staff is so friendly and they have a great selection of sweets to order as well as some ready made things. Their bread is my favorite
I make the drive out here multiple times a year and am always glad I did. We ordered from their holiday menu for Christmas and the cannoli cake and apple pie were amazing! I also really enjoy their take and bake cinnamon rolls. I’ve never had a bad experience here and the staff are always super helpful. 11/10. Would recommend!!
I went today and loved the variety of items this bakery offers. This is a gluten free bakery so you’re able to enjoy everything. They also sell GF frozen items such as ice cream cookie sandwiches, edible cookie dough, ready make items, breads, and more. I was impressed and look forward to going back.
This place is a dream come true! I found out I had celiac just a couple of months before my wedding. They did a small wedding cake for us and we got an order of macaroons as I have quite a few celiacs in my family. The cake was beautiful and delicious! It was so fresh and I would never have guessed it was gluten free. The frosting was great as well, not too heavy. I did notice I liked our fresh cake much more than the slices they sell in store. Also the macaroons are amazing. Everything I’ve had here I love - the cream puffs are unbelievable!
We brought the cannoli cake to our holiday dinner - EVERYONE loved it. You’d never know it was GF. Great ingredients, awesome staff, amazing products. We used to regularly drive over an hour so my wife could finally enjoy some baked treats...so we moved closer. Now its only 15 mins away. FTW!
All of the goodies have a great taste and great texture. The sugar cookies were yummy and the coffee cake was delicious!! Easy to spend money in here as everything looks and tastes great!
This place is great. We ordered a lot to go, and it was all delicious! The pizza crust was nice and thick and tasted even better the next day when we had leftovers. The rolls and breadsticks were delicious and had a normal consistency compared to most gf items. The cheesecake, cream puff and cake, all wonderful. The clerk at the counter was friendly and helpful as well, even after I asked her multiple times if everything in the store was really gluten free. Worth a drive if you’re in the area!
This is the best gluten free bakery I have ever been to (and I have tried many through out New York State including all the ones in nyc). Jessica went to the CIA and it truly shows in her work. Everything I have ever eaten by her was absolutely delicious and beautiful. I love the ice cream sandwiches but my favorites are the macarons which are cheaper than I’ve ever seen elsewhere. I highly recommend everything in her store front and I hope that she is able to branch out to other foods/maybe a cafe in the future!
I am not gluten-free, but we visit here frequently because my wife has to be. This is my favorite bakery; I cannot tell that anything is gluten-free! Wonderful customer service and great tasty treats!
Perfection. High quality, unique and (most importantly) delicious sweets and savories. Warm and friendly owner and staff. If it was calorie-free, I'd be there every day.
They've gone out of their way to accommodate me multiple times. They work very hard to accommodate requests, and have done so whenever possible.
My husband called (a week?) ahead to see what the GF DF options would be, if any, as we were passing through the area. He was led to believe there would be sufficient offerings that were both GF and DF to make it a worthwhile stop. Its a beautiful store. Good parking. Several items to take home and finish making yourself including cookie dough in the refrig section. A favorite potter sells their mugs there. The bakery display of high-end looking desserts are, as mentioned in other posts, fully of dairy goodness - fancy cakes, cookies, brownies, etc. There were only 2 items that were dairy free - 2 different muffins - and while they were good - I just didn't get the impression the staff was prepared well to or desired to assist to see what else where might be, especially given we were told there would be several items, albeit a small selection. If you are GF only, this is the shop for you and worth stopping by. Given its a small bakery, I'd recommend calling ahead to see what they are offering that day. For those of us with multiple food limitations, this is likely to be disappointing.
I've been a loyal customer of DBB since (before) they opened. I have never once been glutened, as the bakery is dedicated gf. They use A LOT of dairy in their baked goods, so if you're sensitive, beware. However, I would also like to touch upon a recent customer service issue I've had. After (rightfully) refusing to fulfill a last minute pie order, I was basically told that they have a "large following" and do not need me as a customer. It is sad to see a business I once admired take this turn.
Feel so fortunate to have this place available for my daughter with celiac. I have been turned off by gluten free baked goods previously and felt so bad that my daughter would miss out on sweet deliciousness! Different Blend is different... it's great! I hope the business remains supported!
I'm semi-glad that this place isn't any closer to my house or I'd weigh 500 pounds. They make hands down the best cream puff I've ever had - gluten or not! :) Really good treats. Love the cream puffs and crumb cake! They also sell frozen things too like pie shells, pizza crusts, cinnamon rolls, etc.
Spectacular baked goods - well worth the short trip off the thruway. We went twice in one short trip to the area. The cream puffs and mousses are excellent. They compare to, or even are better than some of the GF deserts we've enjoyed at top NYC restaurants. A don't miss place for celiacs with a taste for extra special deserts.
