I love Dine with Joy! They make gluten free eating out so easy. At our last visit I ordered my food gluten free and my son’s regular. I ordered him fries and forgot to ask for them to be gluten free. When they arrived at the table I asked Joy if they were gluten free and she said definitely! What a relief because they looked delicious and I wanted to pinch one! I highly recommend visiting.
I’ve tried the pies from here and they are so delicious, definitely going to try and visit often. Everything gluten free is separate during the making process, there is even a dedicated gluten free microwave and it’s all labelled. Meat is halal as well so a bonus for coeliac muslims.
Joy is a chronic coeliac. So she knows. I have been eating here since I was diagnosed, the food has only got better over the last decade.
I believe she recently got the coeliac Australia tick.
All GF here is prepared in a clean environment with no chance of cross contamination.
She makes her own pies and hot food, there is no fried food that has gluten, so all fried is GF.
She also makes a lot of SA curries which are GF.
I've been going to this place for a couple of years now and I have never left disappointed. Joy takes a lot of pride in her cooking and has a big selection of GF options. She also is very careful when it comes to preparing and cooking food and serves it in a fast and professional manner. I always look forward to eating here and trying many new things that she has to offer. I definitely recommend her Works Burger. You definitely get wha you pay for.
Was excited to eat here for the safety reasons. Felt very safe but the food was average tasting. I had a burger and chips which was ok. I then had a vanilla slice which made have been sitting there for a long time as it was so soggy. A little disappointed but may go back to try the other options.
Amazing food. Coeliac safe - they are an accredited partner of Coeliac Australia. Cannot go past the fish and chips and the pies and the curries and the desserts and the ready meals. Citrus tart is silky smooth. Great range of vegetarian and dairy free options as well. Really tasty. The staff are wonderful and happy to show you about the systems they have in place to prevent cross contamination. Head chef has skin in the game (coeliac) so fully understands strict GF requirements. They do catering as well. Quick service, easy to get a nearby park and ample tables to sit on. If you have small children that are runners, proximity to road might be a bit too close. Wonderful, community-oriented business.
I go here regularly. They’re Coeliac Australia Gluten Free accredited. I have never had an issue. The owner has CD and many allergies/intolerances so is well across cross contamination etc.
Delicious food and generous portions. Be sure to mentions you want gluten free as they are not a 100% gluten free establishment.
There are gluten free options for most things on the menu thought they’re not marked on the menu so be sure to ask!
Update: I was ‘glutened’ here recently. I was served by a member of staff I don’t see there often so this could be why.
Great dining experience..... You can get hot pies, hot chips, sweets and ready made meals at reasonable prices. The chef and owner Joy is also coeliac, so she takes it very seriously. She even offered to do us up burgers and pies to take camping and cook ourselves, we were blown away.
