They really don’t have many GF options anymore. There are about 5 things on the menu that are GF. Super disappointing. Also, you have to be okay with “may contain” gluten based on a shared kitchen and they can’t guarantee certain spices are GF based on where they get them from. Really big change from before.
Excellent Chicken Ruby (Butter Chicken/Chicken Makani) and chicken biryani. They offer an separate GF menu consisting of items on the regular menu that are naturally GF. No GF bread, etc. The biryani was not celiac friendly as it has cross contamination in its preparation.
Yes! Eat here! They have some GF items that were made in a facility where there was gluten and others that are pure gluten free. The broccoli is amazing as is the tikka chicken. The atmosphere is best part. We ate a late late lunch and there was a long down the block when we were done. Very big place.
Best meal of our trip by far! Separate gluten free menu, everyone is very knowledgeable. When they knew I was GF they made sure I was fine sitting downstairs where they make the naan. So many great GF dishes, we ordered about 6 dishes and my partner was more than happy to get ones I could eat. Every time a dish was delivered to the table the food runner would say what did/did not contain gluten. Even when it was super obvious (like Naan for my husband). The House black daal and the ruby chicken are dishes I will never forget and will be craving forever! The spicy lamb and prawns were delicious and the chicken tikka was classic and unique all at once. Definitely worth the wait (it’s part of the experience!). Also a good tip is to come late, they are open until midnight.
The food was amazing and well worth the wait in line. They have a separate gluten free menu and indicate what is already gluten free or can be made gluten free. The waiter was very nice and knowledgeable and explained the layout of their kitchen and in addition to the GF menu also identified some foods that were high risk for cross contamination. Even the staff who delivered the food was aware of my GF requirements to ensure when serving the dishes to keep them separate. Highly recommend.
Let the host know immediately 3 of us were celiacs with severe “allergy” to gluten. We waited outside for 90 minutes for our table. They sat us in the basement/lower level of the restaurant - right next to the bread making station. Our waitress came to the table and let us know they don’t serve celiacs in the basement because of the cross contamination. SO much flour in the air! I was sick within 5 minutes. They would not seat us upstairs despite our reservation being marked celiac/gluten allergy and having waited for almost 2 hours. NOT CELIAC FRIENDLY!!!!
One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Somehow there was no line and we got right in. Our server picked our food for us and it was incredible.
Very helpful & knowledgeable waiter who helped us with gf & df dishes. We wound up sharing the Marsala prawns, steamed rice, slaw, and no butter buttah. Very good food. I do suggest a reservation. We came in a Friday at 5:15 & only waited 15 min to be seated, but soon the wait was an hour.
BE PREPARED FOR A VERY LONG WAIT. We waited outside in line for over an hour. However, they have insanely delicious curry! So satisfying, all we needed was the curry and we were stuffed and happy. Me and my husband think it's the best curry we've had, and we've had lots of curry lol. They have plenty of options on their gluten free menu, I didn't get sick at all either.
Probably the best experience I've had in 15 years of being on a gluten free diet. The waiter was knowledgeable and provided a gluten free menu. The food is amazing too!
Went to the Dishoom in Covent and was pleasantly surprised considering I typically do not eat Indian food. The waiter was extremely helpful with regards to GF and brought over a separate menu. Expect to wait in line when you go. I went on a Tues at 6:30 and waited for about 1 hour for a table.
Provided a gluten free menu and had great choices on it. was really impressed. Food was delicious as well. would go again
The folks here asked me if I had Celiac's disease or if I was just avoiding gluten. The waiter showed me all the safe foods on the menu and made me aware of ones that could be contaminated. I avoided all possible contamination and I felt really good after eating there!
