I got conflicting information from the waitress. She said that they do have a separate GF fryer. When I asked to order fried chicken she said I couldn't have that because the chicken is fried. Perhaps she meant the fries were fried separately?
I had a burger without a bun with fries and when I tell you the presentation was so bad. Honestly just because someone doesn't want a bun doesn't mean they want to construct the entire burger on their own.
Everything was laid out separately.
We also saw a chef take a fry off of my plate (while waiting to be picked up from the hot plate) and ate it (open kitchen to customers).
Hmmmm... Not sure how to take that
They don’t have a gluten free menu but the server shared that a lot of the food could be done gluten free. They also have a separate fryer.
We ordered GF burgers but unfortunately both burgers came out with regular buns.
The restaurant has gluten free options like gluten free buns. However, you HAVE to talk to a manager when you order. I was served something with gluten and was sick all night. I called the next day and confirmed with the manager who said it was indeed made with flour. So, just take extreme caution and order with the manager if you go here. There is also no dedicated gluten free menu, and it’s not marked at all on the main menu. They were all very nice, but definitely take a lot of caution and make sure you order with a manager.
Our waitress was very knowledgeable about CD and was very helpful. My daughter ordered the Cajun Chicken Sandwich on a gluten free bun and french fries that are fried in a dedicated fryer. My daughter, who is 20, and has been diagnosed with CD for 3 years said it was the best sandwich she has had since her diagnosis. If you want a good sandwich and fries definitely give this place a try.
I had a great experience at this restaurant with good service and food. Servers were able to answer all of my questions about gluten-free options and informed me that most of the menu could be made GF. I ordered a burger with the gluten free bun and fries, since they have a dedicated fryer! The food was delicious and the bun was alright, just a little crumbly. The food did not come out marked as GF.
My daughter has Celiac and the waitress was very helpful - they have a dedicated fryer and we’re able to make her buffalo wings. The chef even came to the table to confirm about her Celiac in preparing the wings which was really reassuring that they understood Celiac and the cross contamination concerns so that they didn’t prepare the wings in the fryer where the other chicken fingers are prepared Items are not specified on the menu so we just asked and they were very helpful
Absolutely amazing wings!!! Please try them! Also, the server was great with double checking everything to make sure it was indeed GF!!
The menu here doesn’t have gluten free marked anywhere, however they have many options. The waitress informed us that all of their sauces are gluten free, they have gluten free pizza crust and can make any burger or sandwich with a gluten free bun. She said the fryer has their onion rings in it so the fries would not be safe. The pizza was a 6/10 and the veggie burger was tasty with the kale slaw on top. When ordering the waitress asked if I had Celiac’s and said she would make sure the kitchen knew! They made me feel very safe eating there.
The staff was friendly, but our server didn’t seem entirely sure about the gluten free options. She stated a few times that most of the salad dressing are gluten free... but couldn’t give me any more details. I ordered a Cobb salad with grilled chicken. I had a slightly upset stomach and a fuzzy head, although that may have been from the blue cheese. I would not consider this place exceptionally gluten free, but it’s a good option if you ask a lot of questions and know what you can and can’t eat on the menu.
By far my favorite gluten free restaurant in Chicago! They are willing to make nearly every entree/sandwich gluten free. One of the best I've had! must try!
I ate at Doc B's for the 20th + time this past weekend. There was a small wait, but the hostess was accurate on the length of time and if anything we were sat quicker then quoted. As someone who is very gluten intolerant, but not Celiac. I have found that there are a lot of amazing options at Doc B's. I love their turkey burger & grilled artichoke. I had often ordered the Wok Bowl without sauce. However, on this visit I found out that all of their sauces have been re-formulated so they are ALL Gluten Free!!! Even the sauces in the Wok Bowl and Teriyaki Salad Dressings are now made in house with Gluten Free Soy Sauce. This was very exciting. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for something delicious and healthy. Our waitress Kayla was very attentive and knowledgeable in answering questions related to food allergies. We also were able to meet Chuck (Executive Culinary Manager), he told us all about the change in their sauces and recipes as he makes them.
This place was great! Staff is super knowledgeable about what they can and can’t make for you. No separate menu but so many options are available for those with celiac or GF needs. The chimichurri wings were so tasty! Fries crisp and yummy.
Ordered the Kabobs for my meal.
This is a gem when you are here in Tampa and looking for good yummy food.
We sat at the bar and the bartender was great! Very well informed. They could do everything GF besides the fried chicken. They have dedicated fryer! We have the baked chimichurri wings ( to dieeeee for ) and then a pork sandwich and burger. Sweet potatoes and reg fries were amazing . 2 celiacs and reactions.
My hubby and I popped in yesterday while we were walking around and I first asked the hostess about gf. At the same time my hubby asked the manager and they both assured us they could make most items gf. We ordered the guac and subbed the tortilla chips for sweet potato chips ( hubby doesn’t like SP) and was told chips were gf. I ordered the turkey burger no tortilla chips no bbq sauce no bun ( lettuce wrapped). If you are a big guac fan like we are I would save yourself the $18 and make your own or get it somewhere else. It was just like some smashed avocado with salt. My burger was served with a bun and I was initially worried they made an error but was told it was gf. I don’t usually eat the buns just because I don’t find them flavorful and would rather eat other carbs like the sweet potato fries I ordered with my burger. The turkey patty was really good and juicy and the fries were thick and yummy.
