The menu has gluten free options clear marked! Im only intolerant, and cannot speak to the cross contamination issues. The staff was friendly and accommodating!

Doc's does have an asterisk next to gluten free options, but be aware of the shared deep fryer, which makes French fries and all fried food off limits. They have a "Maine" clam chowder, which is like NE chowder but not thickened with flour and is GF (this is rare for clam chowder, which I miss dearly since Celiac diagnosis). Great raw bar selection, which is almost always celiac-safe. Staff is very helpful if you ask questions and there is a healthy selection of GF items. It's also a seafood restaurant, and those tend to be better as there is less cross-contamination. Of course the next most important part, the food is excellent and this place is one of the very best seafood places in all of NJ.

I'm only giving 4 because there was no gluten free menu and I like to visually see my options. But the server was knowledgeable, I didnt get sick and the food was delicious. Expensive but we were on vacation. The server said they get gf requests all the time and there is a gluten allergy button in their computer that alerts the kitchen. Obviously oysters (which were delicious) and other raw seafood are naturally gf. Then I inquired about a few other menu options and he told me which ones could be made or modified gluten free and it was no big deal because everything is made fresh to order. I got the beet salad and grilled shrimp and it was delicious and I didnt get sick.

Old school seafood steak house. It's been there since 1897. Lots of raw bar, steam lobster, steak so lots of naturally GF items. Make sure to verify side items as the menu didn't indicate the steak came with onion rings but they did. Had an excellent reasonably priced meal with no ill effects.
