I visited on March 24, 2022. I come to Miami regularly to visit family. I’m from Vancouver and in comparison, the Miami GF scene is disappointing. So I applaud Dora’s for being one of the few dedicated GF restaurants. But I wasn’t impressed by the food I bought. I got a loaf of sandwich bread, key lime pie, a guava empanada and croquettes. I was excited to be able to try the GF versions of some of the Latin food I can’t eat. However the croquettes were soggy, bland and super greasy. My MIL, a local and also GF, took one bite & wouldn’t eat the rest. The empanada should have a thin flaky pastry crust, but this was thick corn meal dough stuffed with guava and string cheese, formed into a empanada shape, and it tasted deep fried. The key lime pie filling was delicious, but there wasn’t enough. The crust wasn’t traditional graham cracker crumb. It was a very thick pressed flour crust and the ratio to filling was way off. The bread tasted like white rice flour and yeast. The texture was fine when heated up but not edible at room temp. It was sold wrapped in plastic so I doubt it was baked that day. All in all, this is what GF was 10-15 years ago in Vancouver. Again, I applaud them for trying but I think the knowledge and ingredients available in the GF world aren’t being used to the fullest here.
