Excellent food and service. Fun, small and casual
I have been eating at DTC since it opened in 2015, and I am always pleased with the food and friendly ambiance. My daughter and husband have celiac disease, diagnosed 13 years ago, and I have been an advocate and mentor for newly diagnosed celiacs for more than a decade. They are both highly sensitive to any gluten ingredients or contamination - even microscopic! - so I am thrilled that they can eat safely (and often do!) with no reaction at DTC. Stoney and BJ are always helpful and careful to make sure they have options, that they do not get ill, and that we delight in our food! The Valentine's dinner was **exceptional**, too. Thanks, DTC!
I LOVE DTC!! Staff and owners are very knowledgable about celiacs and really seem to care about what they do. My fave thing here is there hummus or their DTC grilled cheese in their GF pita! OMG do you know how long its been since I've had a freaking pita??? Been many times and will be back many more I'm sure!
I choose this restaurant due to the reviews but I wish I never stepped in the place. Yes it is clean and the staff seems knowledgeable about Celiacs and cross contamination but after my lunch of chicken in the "gluten free" pita my day went from great to horrible. About hour after I ate there I became horrible ill and the EMT's took me off my office bathroom floor and straight to the ER. Please, if you have Celiac disease do not eat the there.
Fantastic food and great staff!! I have been to this restaurant several times now and have never had a reaction or bad experience. I do not have celiac but I do have a very bad gluten allergy. The majority of their menu is gf. The gf pita bread they use for the sandwiches is extremely good and not crumbly at all! Also, if you like grits you have to try their grits, they are amazing!!
Fantastic place! Gluten free options were certified gluten free. Staff was so friendly and kind. They buy local for their products. We arrived a little bit early and they opened up and served us. Best experience! Could not speak more highly of the care they took with the food.
This place is fabulous. The staff is remarkably kind. I discussed my food allergies with everyone and actually cried when I was asked if I wanted things on the side so I could experiment. Probably my new favorite treat restaurant. Come see them! Be open about what you need! The chef even offered to give me some of his recipes.
Great little place! Lots of options of GF. Very yummy!
What an awesome place! We are picky about our food...not just gluten-picky, but no tapioca (a frequent substitute)- tell-me-all-your-ingredients picky. The owner and chef spent a ton of time with us. Food was phenomenal and well-portioned. You won't regret your trip here.
This is a hidden gem, a great little cafe with incredible barbecue and friendly, warm waitstaff. They provided a wonderful meal for me and my wife, who hasn't had fried food in 5 years!
owner very knowledgeable about celiac disease. Great spot off the Square!
