Double wide has a gluten free menu. The server was friendly but she forgot to tell the kitchen that I was celiac. I ordered a salad thinking that was a safe choice and it was served to me with a piece of cornbread on the side of the plate. After inquiring, i was told it was made with flour. The server apologized and said that she forgot to tell kitchen about gluten allergy. However, they did replace the salad.
Best place for gluten free and vegetarian food. They have great drinks for both kids and adults. I can’t even explain about their service... it’s that good!!!
Best gluten free menu I have seen!
Do NOT eat here if you are Celiac. Waitress was extremely uninformed in general regarding the (separate) gluten free menu, gave my husband french fries from a shared fryer, was super rude after we (nicely and politely) informed her that the bartender was wrong - that Budweiser is NOT a gluten free beer, and then proceeded to be very rude to us and treat us horribly. Bad experience AND I am now sick (and I DIDN’T have the french fries).
My husband and I just ate at Double Wide Grill. The hamburger with the gluten free bun delicious, cherry Cole slaw wonderful and the Goo Ball delectable. Our server Timothy was knowledgeable , courteous, efficient and great. Very pleasurable experience, we definitely will be bsck.
Good menu, many safe items, alternatives shown, good food and prices.
My waiter was very clear in telling me that the wings are gluten free. I even made a comment about how good they were and we had a short conversation. The wings are not gluten free, just got off the phone with a manager. Thanks doublewide dooshers!
I went here about 2 weeks after being diagnosed with Celiacs and even though I ordered a salad off of the gluten free menu I definitely got glutened. I did talked to the waitress about the gluten free options. Now, in their defense I was a newbie and did not realize that I needed to ask questions about cross contamination. Truthfully, I'm not sure I'll take the chance again.
The correct address is 2339 East Carson, Pittsburgh. The app has the wrong address! The gluten free menu is very specific, but a little confusing. They don't have dedicated fryers. The server was knowledgeable concerning gluten. I had a pulled pork sandwich on a gluten free bun with rice and beans. It was very good and I had no effects of cross-contamination.
Here on 04/26/2016. Double Wide Grill is wide open and they say they never closed. Still have a great gluten free menu. Having pineapple chicken wrap and cherry coke slaw. Still have GF buns and bread.
could update your website to say this location is gone!!!!
We use to eat here all the time. Love it. But the new staff is not educated on gluten free. Management didn't even know if the sauce was gluten free. Waitress said you can try it!!!
Special gluten free menu with lots of choices. Regular menu also notes vegan and vegetarian items. Our waitress seemed experienced. Grilled shrimp on my salad were great.
Good GF selection and good BBQ too! I enjoyed it and would stop back again.
A very casual place with some GF options. Our waiter stated that "most of my customers are celiacs". Whether this is actually true I am not sure because it seemed to be a very hectic, bustling place with students, locals, tourists, etc. However we were pleased that our son had several options to choose from (but not a LOT of options) and we felt the staff was knowledgeable. Fun atmosphere, good beer selection, and even a gluten free beer on the menu.
Very knowledgeable staff and a large variety of gf options.
Large gluten free menu. Food was excellent! Fresh sautéed veggies. Gluten free bread was very good. Love a sports bar was good gluten free food!
This place has a large gluten free and vegan menu
