Dr. Bob's Donuts

The donuts are so fluffy in comparison to most gluten-free pastries I have found that are very thick. They are steamed and not as fluffy as a glutenous donut but still worth it! And they are adorable to boot with heart shaped indents in place of donut holes easily fill-able with their gluten-free toppings bar. Priced by weight and average $3 per donut. Perfect for a gluten-free date!

Unfortunately I wasn't a big fan of the donut; it just tasted like brown sugar ! But the frozen yogurt aspect of this place is great ! All gluten free toppings only for a safe bowl of GF frozen yogurt . So 5 star for DoYo but but 2 star for Dr. Bob's Donuts !

The donuts are disgusting. It's like taking stale protein powder and mixing it with water and then baking it in a donut shape. If you want real donuts that are gf, go to Pushkins in midtown Sac on a Sunday morning instead. If you are a health nut then sure eat here but load it up with toppings to hide the "donut" taste, and stop fooling yourself: that is not a donut.

Absolutely delicious and so many healthy vegan choices!

Delicious and you have no worries that anything in the store might have gluten in it. Even the brownie bites are safe. It's so nice to have donuts in the morning again!!

This place is delicious. Glutenfree AND vegan... So I can relax about the buffet/DIY style service, since the whole place is safe. Nonvegan items are clearly marked, and it's only because of honey, so the dairy allergic are safe here too. There did appear to be some gf oats in some toppings, so just FYI, if you're oat sensitive.

The only reason I can't give 5 stars is because of the healthist snake oil claims and body shaming about how these donuts can treat "diabesity" (a disgusting hateful anti-science term). I want to enjoy my food, not eat food while surrounded by body-shaming rhetoric about how my fat body is a disease to be cured, rather than a donut shop that treats me like a human who loves gf vegan food that doesn't make me sick.

That really soured my experience. But the food itself is pretty tasty-- donuts with tons of custom toppings and soft serve frozen yogurt!

So Awesome, So good...SUCH Yummy goodness!Dr. Bob's Donuts and DoYos is not just a desert shop...although you CAN add vegan frozen yogurt (coconut milk) to do just that...with the chia puddings, fresh fruit and dry goods topping bar, it presents us with the easiest way to create a harmonious blend of flavors and textures that delight that palate and stimulate the senses... again, I say: All this Yummy goodness AND gluten free?? Who knew 'good for you food could taste THIS good'?? Well, I say to that clearly Chef Tasha and Dr. Bob, that's who!!
