Fantastic find in Duluth! All staff very knowledgeable. I enjoyed the Curry Bowl and w/ a piece of toast along with their homemade apple butter and peanut butter. Oh and the Brunched cocktail. Soooo good! Everyone in our party with and without restrictions enjoyed it immensely. Even came home with the Brunch cookbook.😃
Had a great experience with staff and kitchen having breakfast here! Menu clearly marked, waitress was kind and helpful, and could hear her and the kitchen communicating about my celiac order. And my meal was tasty…
However- I did gluten myself using one of the hot sauces on the table, my complete mistake, but wanted to warn anyone else who is a hot sauce lover to check the bottles as the one I used contained barley.
Excellent time here. The wait staff are very knowledgeable about GF. Be sure to tell them Celiac and they can advise you on which GF dishes will work. In addition, they will make Celiac safe in the back and call out Crliac when it hits the pass and when they deliver to you.
Absolutely delicious food and many gluten-free options available. JUST AN IMPORTANT TIP - if you are celiac, make sure to let the waitress/waiter know because even though items on the menu are marked as gluten-free, there is not a designated fryer for gluten-free items and they use a shared fryer.
Best restaurant we ate at in Duluth! Even my gluten-eating companion enjoyed it. We liked it so much we ate here twice. No issues, just a full stomach and satisfied taste buds.
The first time we ate here a Duluth local was sitting behind us and raving about it, saying it's the place to be and that he always recommends it whenever someone is in town for business.
Guess there's a reason Guy Fieri stopped by for his show!
The waitstaff was absolutely knowledgeable on what is true gluten free. The kitchen staff were phenomenal at making sure that the area that they were prepping and cooking our food was completely free from any cross contamination. There was something I really wanted that was on the GF menu. Our waitress told me that even though it says it's GF, it's not truly GF and to not order it. I will go there again and again!
I went back a second time during my trip to give Duluth Grill another chance (first time I ordered the Bibimbap which tested positive for gluten). This time I ordered the Everything Skillet after speaking with my server about celiac. She was up front saying she couldn’t guarantee gluten-free but they would do their best. My Nina sensor detected gluten. The manager made me some bacon & the flannel hash as well - the bacon tested gluten-free but Nima picked up gluten in the hash. They really wanted to understand where the gluten was coming from - I mentioned perhaps spices or pans or utensils. This place is awesome, I just wish it were celiac-safe. I was only able to taste the bacon which was really good… unfortunately not a meal though.
Food was excellent and a variety of gf options, not just your standard gf buns, salad, pizza, etc! I had the Bibimbap and it did not disappoint. I confirmed it was already gf the way it was prepared and the wait staff was able to confirm with confidence. No signs of cross contamination. Even was able to provide coffee to go.
Several gluten free items available. Food is always worth the long wait
Exceptional meal with many more options listed on menu than the website. We will be back!
These guys know their food! I got their signature dish (Bibimbap) and it was amazing - some of the best food I’ve eaten in my life - I still can’t believe the price isn’t higher, and it already isn’t cheap. My husband “just” got an omelette and was also blown away. I seriously cannot recommend their food enough. *side-note: they are only open until 3:00pm - so breakfast and lunch. And it’s busy!
As far as gluten free safety, I didn’t ask a lot of questions- which is unusual for me, but their menu was clearly marked, and their food was so unique that I could tell they know every ingredient. I told them it was “an allergy” they noted it, and I saw it on the receipt. It’s been almost 24 hours and I haven’t had any bad reaction- I do have celiac and will react quickly and severely if I have any exposure or cross-contamination.
I ate here twice on a trip and both times were fantastic! Both servers I had were very knowledgeable about celiac and cross contamination and even double checked ingredients for me to ensure that everything was safe. The food was delicious and I felt confident eating here even though it was very busy both times. Definitely recommend this place!!
The staff was very informed of gluten free. My son had hash browns and they cooked them in a separate part of the grill. They also had a gluten free brownie that was delicious. Their other food was great too so everyone in our party was very happy. We will definitely return to this restaurant.
I've been here a couple of times now and VERY HAPPY! I have not been glutened. Both my son and I ate there twice during a visit to the University and we both have been completely fine. We had exceptionally good service. We told them we had celiac and so they prepared in a separate area. I have additional sensitivities and they completely got it right. A chef did forget to to put the ham in my Eggs Benedict (on hashbrowns) but they adjusted our bill, I didn't have time to wait for a piece of ham to be brought out unfortunately, but the stellar service really made it not sting. Later, we went back in for dessert and they now have a GF/DF/vegan Torte that is SOOO GOOD! I cannot eat avocado either so the server brought me their cashew sour cream to accompany it and it was perfect. They even gave me extra cashew sour cream. All in all, completely delighted by them and I look forward to eating there again.
This was a pretty cool place! I had something off their breakfast menu and I didn’t love it but they had some good smoothies. My mom had a bowl and said it was pretty good. They grow their produce in the parking lot in some planter boxes which is pretty cool. A good amount of gluten free options.
Offer gluten free bread and buns and there are a few items on their menu that are specifically gluten free.
So very disappointed. Asked many, many questions prior to ordering regarding preparation practices, ingredients, etc.... Halfway through her meal, my daughter noticed something foreign in her noodles. We sent it back with the waitress, who returned with a manager. The manager then proceeded to tell us that we should have told the waitress we were Celiac when we ordered because they would have prepared our meal in a separate area. Not even an apology or an offer to make my daughter a new meal. Instead my 9-year-old left the restaurant hungry and wondering if she was going to get sick. Choose your words carefully if you choose to eat here or it's your fault!
