Dumpling Bar Restaurant on Kent

This place was ok, needs some tlc, it’s quite tatty and needs a good sort out of stuff, plants, boxes, stores etc! GF Dumplings were limited but tasty, don’t bother with the squid, it was really chewy and inedible, the server didn’t really care and still charged us for it even though we politely explained and didn’t eat it. Not worth searching out in my opinion.

Coeliacs beware! On the menu it says all dumplings are gluten free. This is not the case. There are only specific dumplings which seem to be okay. My waiter however confirmed that all were fine to order as a coeliac however I noticed the "dumplings with soup inside" tasted distinctly floury. I later was told by another waiter when I went to order more, that they were not actually gf "as they were white". I am not a particularly sensitive coeliac but I was extremely sick after eating here. Unfortunately I can't vouch for the gf status of the other dumplings I had which may have been gf so please eat here with caution as it appears staff at this restaurant don't fully understand gluten allergies.

Plenty of offerings and GF condiments brought out with my meal. Tasty dumplings, they don’t seem to use dedicated GF steamers but they are lined with fresh paper each time. Only let-down was extremely slow service when they lost my order.

So much of the menu items can be made gluten free; dumplings and noodles included. Staff were very knowledgeable regarding coeliac and immediately brought out gluten free soy sauce - no reaction to meal whatsoever.

They have a huge menu with GFree clearly marked on heaps of items. So friendly and waitress was all over gfree. Even brought out gfree soy sauce bottle marked as such. First time Ive ever had Duck dumplings.

My husband and I ate at this restaurant last night. I’m gluten intolerant and my husband is celiac. So many GF things on the menu. We had dumplings and a noodle dish, absolutely delicious, we so miss having dumplings so we were in heaven. No reactions afterwards either which is excellent.

Lovely little place for a variety of gluten free Chinese food options not just dumplings. About 60% of the menu can be done gluten free and we had no issues eating here.

An amazing restaurant with kind and helpful staff. Countless gluten free options that taste like the real thing. I’ve only been celiac for two years and missed dumplings so much. These are identical to the best yum cha place! Would also recommend the salt and pepper calamari and anything with the duck. Will come back a million times :)

I took my two children with CD to try out the dumplings, we also got the stir fried beef with flat rice noodle and fried rice with pork belly. The noodles and rice dishes were amazing, the dumplings were good but they couldn't do them pan fried and my little guy loves them pan fried, so a bit different to what he was used to. The staff were friendly and very helpful in selecting suitable dishes.

Loooooots of gluten free options clearly labeled on the menu! Delicious pork and delicious dumpling! They made me feel very comfortable about cross contamination they are very aware. I am a silent celiac so I don’t know if I got contaminated but I felt very safe there.

Had brunch here with my family and we all had a great time. They were able to accommodate gluten free requests really easily. The menu had red dots that identified the gluten free items, I would estimate ~60% of the menu was gluten free. Everything tasted really great, will definitely come back here!

HUGE selection of GF dumplings. My sister and I are coeliacs and feel like we found heaven. Prawn and chive dumplings were our favourite, but it was a close contest! Lovely view, hard place to find but totally worth it.
