Ed’s has a menu marked for gluten sensitivity and also for celiac. This is the only place I eat when I’m in Estes. Service is always wonderful and friendly. The pazole and bison enchiladas are excellent! Be careful with the chips as they are not cooked in a safe fryer.

Salmon bowl
Bison enchiladas adjusted to be celiac friendly- no rice
From the other pics I saw the menu for gf has changed. They say gf next to them if they are gf but might me fried in the same fryer. The box means that it is totally gf.

We've been there 4 times now. Menu is great. They have gluten free or celiac friendly on the menu. The celiac friendly items are made in a separate area. We have always gotten the bison enchiladas and they are very good. It's a hit or miss if we get a good waiter. They usually do pretty good. One time out of 4 have we not been happy with our waitter understanding our order.

My daughter was recently diagnosed with celiac so eating out is very scary. We read reviews about Ed’s Cantina and felt comfortable to try it. I have been coming to this restaurant on vacation visits for over 30 years, always impressed. Not only did they have a gf listing but also a celiac listing for their items. My daughter ordered the tres enchiladas and was in heaven from first to last bite. The staff was so knowledgeable about celiac. Although the chips are not safe, they offered to cut up a corn tortilla and make homemade chips that were safe. Not all of us ordered gf but our other 3 meals were delicious as well. Price point was in line with what we would expect. My daughter said give it 5 Stars! Excellent friendly staff. Thanks Ed’s Cantina for making my daughter feel so comfortable and normal at a restaurant!

The menu was marked with signs for both gf and celiac friendly dishes which is nice as some restaurants have options labeled gf when they actually come in contact with gluten. The staff was very knowledgeable about celiac and asked if I was celiac or just gf. The food on the other hand was bland and sub par. We got the Tres enchilada and Carne Asada plate. The corn tortillas where raw and the corn chips are made in a shared fryer. Overall service was good, but the food left something to be desired.

Super nice that the menu has gf and celiac safe on their menu, have never seen that before! There is not a huge selection of celiac safe items but there is a lot of gluten free but you risk contamination with that. I couldn’t have the chips but the waitress brought me corn tortillas instead which was great!

Excellent food, great service, so helpful! Went here while on a trip in Rocky Mtn NP due to great recommendations and they did not disappoint! We had the Salmon bowl, Bison enchiladas, Carne asada, avocado hummus and a salad. The hostess who took our order was amazing- understood Celiac and went to the kitchen herself to ensure they changed gloves and took care, without our asking! We have other allergies and she took care of all of them - went through the menu with us, made suggestions, did substitutions for us, and got the food quickly and efficiently. We ordered takeout due to Covid, but ambience was nice and relaxed. Highly recommend!!!

Gluten free items are marked on the menu, however, the menu is confusing because only some of the gluten free items also have a symbol for celiac friendly. When I asked our server, he said the ones without the celiac friendly symbol could potentially be cross-contaminated. So I was happy staff was knowledgeable but it means if you have celiac like me, you can’t just go by the gluten free symbol. I got the chicken fajita bowl. It was ok and I didn’t have any reaction which is always good.

Menu has about 4 celiac-safe designated items, which is appreciated. I ordered the steak tacos with black beans - pretty tasty. However, there are so many gluten free items that are compromised from the fryer or shared space - chips and rice are not celiac safe. I was really excited to eat here, then rather disappointed for how limited the menu is. I am grateful for their staff knowledge and labeled menu, of course.

Im extremely sensitive and normally do not eat out unless its 100% gfree. Limited menu due to the rice and chips sharing a fryer, but my waiter was excellent and made sure i was taken care of. I had a plain cheese enchilada to be safe but it was good! Ill definitely be a little more adventurous next time due to the service making me feel confident in their cross contamination knowledge.

This restaurant is labeling food that is fried in oil along with gluten foods as Gluten Free. The menu does not always specify when a dish is fried so that creates a lot of confusion. Then the waitress was clearly annoyed by all my questions. It was not a good experience.

Ask for a separate allergen menu that shows what is made gluten free or not. There are quite a few options, but as others have noted, unfortunately the chips are not gluten free nor is the rice! The tacos I got were yummy, but I was disappointed that the restaurant chooses not to offer gluten free chips (even packaged ones as a backup) and unnecessarily fried rice, making it not safe for those of us with allergies.

Delicious food. The super friendly and helpful staff understand a celiac diet. They have a celiac and vegan menu. The vegan mole sauce is also gf and is delicious. While there was a wait, this is because they are so good. They take your cell number and message you when your table is available. We only waited 20 minutes and we're able to shop down the block. After that, service is great. Best gf food I've ever had in a Mexican restaurant
