After ordering my gluten free pancakes, the chef personally came out to tell me that their pancakes are not gluten free. They are gluten friendly. They have noting that is gluten free. I am so thankful he came out to tell me that. He said he did not want me to get sick. If you have celiac like I do, do not eat here. It is not safe.
Delicious breakfast. Menu labeled well. Had gluten free pancakes and waffles as well.
Best staff and gluten free pancakes I’ve had. Will be back again very soon.
Alex was the best waitress we had in a while. She was very knowledgeable about gluten free. Great food!!! Definitely a return visit in order.
Never had any problems here; and I am celiac/ very sensitive to gluten. Their skillets and pancakes are both good choices!
This is a very busy place on weekend mornings and that makes me worried about cross contamination or orders getting mixed up in the kitchen. Our rushed waitress didn't make me feel confident that the appropriate precautions were being made with my GF order. The GF pancakes were good and the egg skillet was delish. But as a celiac, I probably won't be going back.
Very good breakfast offerings for those with celiac/gluten issues. Menu is clearly marked with GF options and server for comfortable and familiar with the request. Marked ticket with GF allergy note. My 8 yr old daughter was very happy to have their GF pancake - it was even in a Mickey Mouse shape. My husband was happy with his potato and egg skillet. Food came out fast and service was excellent. Glad we found it.
Our waitress did not seem to be familiar with gluten/gluten-free options at all; when we asked, my wife had to ask her to go to the kitchen to ask. We heard someone laugh when she asked if the bacon was gluten-free and said, “Bacon has gluten?” NOTHING on the menu has “gf” identification. Food was good but, while the said they have gf options, uncertain how safe for allergies/celiacs.
Dined at the Tuckahoe location today and had a concerning first experience. Nothing on the menu is marked GF. However, it does note they have GF pancakes for an extra charge and the waitress let us know they also have GF waffles. I asked if the bacon was GF and she said she had no idea. I asked her if she could check and since it’s an open kitchen I could see her asking. After the chuckling and the head cook saying -I guess so-,our server came back and said “it’s GF because there is no milk in it”. The GF pancake tastes like a box mix, the potatoes were good and the eggs were good right.
I am gluten and dairy intolerant and had a mild reaction.
If you have celiac, I would not recommend this place at all.
Did not order, got up and walked out. They cook everything on shared equipment, even pancakes and waffles. This is not a place for someone with celiac.
They have "gluten friendly" options. I would not recommend the " gluten friendly" items for anyone with Celiacs, gluten allergy, wheat allergy, or severe gluten intolerance. They put their gf toast in the same toaster as the gluten bread. I'm not sure about the pancakes. I've had the pancakes a couple of times and have not gotten sick. The pancakes are... ok. They are a bit dry, but can get the job done if you want to go out for breakfast with family.
