The last review is misleading. While they do not have a dedicated fryer, if you tell the staff you are celiac or have an issue with gluten, they prepare the empanadas completely separate in a frying pan with new oil for you. The food is great and they are attentive to issues with gluten.
I can’t stress enough how NOBODY should be allowed to call anything gluten free if they do not have a dedicated fryer. They used to, but now do churros and breaded cheese sticks. I messaged on Facebook and they stated the arepas are gluten free. I get that, but you’re stating that your plantain sandwiches are and so are your empanadas when they’re not! You’re going to end up hurting someone really bad. It’s not worth just the arepas. I’m sorry. And I’m very disappointed with the misinformation and constant menu changes to the fryer.
There is now a gluten containing cheese stick available, and multiple items marked “gluten free” on the menu are fried in the same oil. The arepas are not fried and are delicious, but use caution when ordering if you truly need to be gluten free. They are very thoughtful when answering questions but you cannot trust the menu board.
Almost the entire menu is gluten free, and the owner is very aware of celiac and cross contamination procedures.
Almost the entire menu is gluten free, and the food is amazing! Made from scratch in the kitchen, and the quality is wonderful.
All of their food is delicious, and the owner is a great guy. Super friendly and willing to answer any questions about the food.
