I had high hopes because I read an article about how it was good for gluten free, but ended up being one of my more negative dining out experiences since I was diagnosed. Not sure if it was just my waiter or the restaurant, but waiter made zero effort to try and accommodate me. No offer to speak to kitchen staff and nothing marked on the menu. I was told they could maybe do a salad. I got caprese salad with 3 small pieces of burrata and some tomato and called that dinner. I did not feel safe eating there given how crazy busy the place was and how little my waiter cared. But in reality if they can’t prevent cross contamination it is better to not eat, especially when on a trip. It is tough to watch others eat these delicious pasta dishes and desserts and sit and starve but that is life with celiac disease.
