Elvi’s is my favorite restaurant in Ambergris Caye. The staff was knowledgeable about allergies and cross-contamination. In addition to having celiacs and a dairy allergy I’m anaphylactic to pineapple. The chef also has a severe pineapple allergy. She even made a visit to my table. I felt safe here. I ate the cilantro lime fish, fresh corn tortillas with three dipping sauces all gf and dairy free. Delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant!
Very knowledgeable and outlined each option available for my daughter who has Celiac. She chose the Belizean Asian fusion and loved it. No issues.
Nice restaurant but was not asked if I had any allergies which was one of the reasons I chose this restaurant. I could hear other waiters asking their tables so maybe we got a new server. I told her I had a gluten allergy and she looked at me strangely and said “no flour?” After a brief conversation she said I could only have the tacos or curry. I opted for the tacos and we also ordered the grilled corn, gluten free. When she brought it out I asked again about the sauce that had been poured over it and she said the sauce has gluten 😑 she took it back and replaced it for one without sauce. Something still had gluten, I think it was one of the sauces that came with the tacos. They were tasty but made me pretty miserable.

A gem as mentioned by others one of the staff is celiac and they took it really seriously. Had tacos for lunch and came back later for curry. I would say it’s a little chaotic cos it’s right in the middle of the main town so it’s not like a relaxing beach vibe but they are so lovely in there and felt completely safe
A member of the owners family is gluten free. So they actually know what that means.
We have 6 people gluten free in our group and one other allergy. They did a great job managing our allergies. We tipped them extra because of the confidence we had in eating our food. It’s hard to find anywhere else in San Pedro.

Excellent experience and food - waiter introduced himself and immediately asked if any special diet or food accommodations needed 🙏 Very knowledgeable about Celiac and made recommendations- had Mediterranean Chicken - so good! Even had a gluten free desert - crustless coconut pie - Mmmmmmm!

This place is pricey! The chef curry was 30USD and so was the coconut pie (8USD), but it was extremely safe, the staff was so knowledgeable and the customer service outstanding. Ot still deserves 5 out of 5 stars and the food was delicious !
Great place in downtown San Pedro. You feel like you’re dining outside on the beach. The wait staff are knowledgeable about our daughters needs and pointed out some amazing dishes for her. The coconut shrimp was sooo good. Sautéed, not fried, resting in a half coconut. They did not have the crustless pie, but everything was delicious and reasonably priced

Adding my previous review- this place is incredible with safe food, kind staff and wonderful environment (with live music sometimes!). Every dish I tried was delicious. A must visit!
Highly recommend this place, servers are all highly trained on all allergy ingredients in each menu item. They even had a crust less GF coconut cream pie made completely separate, zero risk of cross contamination-it was such a treat. I did not get sick.
