Good food, conscious about gluten, fun environment. I would ignore the previous negative review as it is really hard to believe after dining here. The menu is clearly marked and the server double checked on gluten concerns by calling the owner. The only downside is that the prices are quite high.
Was expecting a magical, enchanting evening. Reality was a completely different story.
Service was bad. Food was alright at best. Music was great. We were a party of 20+ of varying ages. Multi-generational party. A girls night, if you will. Because we were such a big group we could not all be seated together or near each other. That was fine. Parents at one table. The children and young adults at two other tables. We were all excited and we trusted that a fine dining restaurant would treat our children and elderly well. We thought wrong.
We made reservations at 7:30. We arrived just after 7:00 and were seated a few minutes after our reservation time. We were the last group served our dinner. At closing time. I wish I was kidding. Out of all the customers this evening, our children, ranging from 19 to 7 years of age, and our elderly, were the last people served when we were seated at 7:30. One table did not receive any eating utensils. The table where the children sat waited very long for their drinks. We all had to ask numerous times to get drink refills. No one came to check in on us, but we sure saw our servers checking in with everyone else.
We waited 2 hours for chicken on a stick. 2 hours for grilled sandwiches. 2 hours for a kid size pizza. 2 hours for a bowl of heated chocolate and tiny pieces of fruits and crackers. Then just minutes after receiving our food we were asked to box it because it was closing time. Who's fault is it that we got our food so late? And we're not allowed to "enjoy" this food and experience that we had waited so long for? Not only that, the entire time we waited, not a word of apology or explanation until we expressed our dissatisfaction.
One table was served by the store manager. The one's sitting there noted they had good service. Although a little delayed, she was cordial and responsive. But whoever served the 2 other tables need much, much improvement. Absolutely appalled and so disappointed by the service received tonight. Do not recommend.
I notified our waiter I have celiac disease and he was able to explain their kitchen procedures, make recommendations and cross check any questions I had. He was even knowledgeable about smaller things like pizza oven cross contamination (they have a gf shelf of the pizza oven) and checking the salad dressing.
I ended up ordering the chicken caprese crepe (all crepes are gf) and got a dessert crepe afterwards because it was so yummy.
The restaurant has live music a new nights a week, and it was overall a really fun experience and night out. Highly recommend!
