The food is good, but kind of pricy for what you get. I don't go often because they hassle me when I request a gluten free bun. The first time I made the request, the employee asked loudly, "ARE YOU GLUTEN?" which doesn't even make sense. On another occasion, an employee asked me if I'm truly gluten free or I just like the taste of the gluten free bun better. I think in both cases, the employees were trying to figure out if they could just make my sandwich without cross-contamination procedures or if I needed them to change their gloves and wipe off the counter. They do seem to know which precautions to take to avoid contamination, but only if they've questioned you enough to determine you qualify for them.

This Erbert & Gerbert location is located on the 3rd floor of the Univ of Mich - Flint University Center. (AND IS CLOSED BETWEEN APRIL 30TH AND LABOR DAY) Their gluten free sandwiches, like all other locations, are served on Udi's gluten free sub buns. When I asked them how they were made, the gentleman immediately started to address all the precautions they take to prevent cross-contamination. My husband was immediately impressed, and he doesn't even have to eat gluten free! An important point of note- no curbside parking. But it is SO SO worth the trip while they are open!

I ordered through door dash one of the 3 subs that is supposed to be made safely for celiacs. I did have have any reactions to my sub and the gluten free bun was delicious.
