The waitress was very helpful when I told her I have celiac disease. She checked with the kitchen staff if they could cook my food in a clean area with new utensils and the kitchen staff said not to worry about anything. It was a great experience and nice that they took allergens seriously! My food was delicious as well! The fryer is not dedicated GF but the mashed potatoes were a good substitute!
I was told the seltzer on the menu is not gluten free, so don't expect that. There are about 4 gluten free items marked and gluten free pizza crust offered. I went with 2 of the gluten free marked options since tacos were in flour tortilla only. The PEI mussels and cob salad were delicious.
Staff did not inspire confidence with their lack of knowledge on gluten free, and menu options total 4 items. I opted to go get 5 Guys and bring it back while my friends ate here.
The staff were flippant about Celiac and reported back ten minutes after our order was placed that they had no gluten free buns. My son settled for gluten free bread, only for them to bring him a plate full of fries covering his sandwich that weren’t gluten free. I have never ever spoken to management about a Celiac menu problem. We seek out Celiac friendly restaurants and have never had a problem. This restaurant is not Celiac friendly!
I've had good luck here...most of my visits. They now have gluten free buns available, but the only sandwich that is gluten free without further modifications is a hamburger. The servers are not particularly knowledgeable and couldn't tell me that when I asked, simply stated they believed they were but corrected that after talking to the kitchen staff at my request. They have some gluten free items marked on the menu, but some of those (particularly the risotto) have components that are fried in a non-dedicated fryer. Again, the servers did not tell me that when I talked to them about my celiac and asked for details about the dish, but only talked to the kitchen staff at my request after the dish came out with fried stuff on it. They serve good food, but I don't find them to be particularly careful or knowledgeable about gluten.
Great gluten free options : salads, quinoa and chicken. Supports local food as well. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. It was only a hop away from Ocean City too!
