First things first, I did get sick. This place was not safe for me at all, however, my celiac partner who ate with me felt mostly fine afterwards. The first time we came here, I ordered a bubble tea, and we ordered three appetizers that we were surprised could be made gluten free. However, our waitress assured us they were fine. For our mains I ordered pad Thai and he a fried rice. When our appetizers came and we dug in, our waitress all of a sudden came to us and said “stop eating.” She took our appetizers back and said they contained gluten. We were shocked and terrified. The manager came, personally apologized us and said that they, as a restaurant, would do better from now on. We got our pad thais to go.
I ended up getting sick, but my partner did not. Since our pad Thais were good and he was fine afterwards, we came back again. Surprisingly, when we got to the door, the gluten and vegan friendly sticker was scrubbed off. We were shocked, and thought about not coming back, but we did anyways. This time we ordered the same thing but without the appetizers. I again got glutened, he did not, even though he tried some of my pad Thai.
Since my celiac partner was fine with his food and mine, I am curious as to what could have caused the difference in our reactions. Perhaps it was the bubble tea that was not gluten free, since some types rarely contain gluten. Either way, a kitchen should know which foods of theirs are gluten free or not, especially if they have GF options and a sign on the door that USED TO say “GF and Vegan Friendly.”

Just went there for the first time. Staff was very knowledgeable about gluten free. Ordered summer rolls without the crispy tofu, pad see ew, and fried rice. All were delicious and had generous lunch portions that I brought home for dinner. Their homemade peanut sauce is gluten-free and the best I ever had. Their motto is “We serve happiness” and in my case, they did. Thank you!!! Follow up- go there at least 3x per month. Always amazing!

Here’s what I was told some options are: Tom kha soup (can be modified to be gf, made to order); garden roll (without tofu since it’s shared fryer; and duck sauce instead of whatever it comes with); ez thai salad (no wontons); pretty much any stir fry can be made gluten free (they sub the sauces-all made to order); all curries are naturally gluten free (except for the green curry since eggplant is shared fryer, but they can modify I believe); pad thai can be ordered gf- they premake a separate gf sauce); drunken noodles can be made gf (they sub the sauces). Noodles etc cooked in same wok but they wash it first for gf dishes.
I have been here twice while vacationing in Maryland on two different occasions. The staff is very knowledgeable and accommodating. The seafood is fresh and delicious. There are lots of gluten-free options
