Would leave no stars if possible. Waiters did not understand celiac, and did not take it seriously. I had the gluten free pancakes, and got very sick from them. As of 2020, they are NOT celiac safe.
So, important note for celiacs! Because our waitress was very celiac-aware (thank you Tabitha!), she warned us that the kitchen doesn’t have a separate cooking space for gf pancakes and waffles. We enjoyed our eggs, bacon and fruit cup anyway. Awesome friendly clean atmosphere! Sometimes, the peace of mind in having celiac-aware staff is more important than eating a pancake 😊!
I read that they had gluten-free pancakes on the reader board as we turned into the parking lot. The pancakes were light with a light crispy crust, the best I've ever had, I think. I had it with the lingonberry butter and jam.
My husband and i are new to townand searching for gluten free friendly local restaurants. We were so excited to find a place that actually had gluten free pancakes on the menu. Sadly our excitement was short lived. I ordered bacon & eggs with gf pancakes. the cakes were thick, dry, undercooked and crumbled when trying to butter them. the eggs and bacon were so so. We were very disappointed and probably won't go back.
I was skeptical at first! Then after eating gf pancakes and waffels and not getting sick! I'm so happy! Its fun to be able to go to breakfast at a safe place and reasonably priced.
Gluten free pancakes were pretty good. I'm going to try the gluten free waffles next time!
Awesome gluten free chicken strips love them :) made my day to be able to eat these.
They have waffles and pancakes that are gluten-free. AND THEY'RE GOOD. They're even right and proper waffles, not belgian-style. It's a cute little locals breakfast joint that feels like what Village Inn used to be, before they turned into a modern giant blah chain. Then, of course, the rest of the menu is your typical breakfast-all-day fare, so pretty gluten-safe in general, but since they're aware enough to offer proper GF waffles and pancakes - way more safe than usual. We had 2 strongly gluten-allergic folks with us, neither had even the slightest issue. Both enjoyed their pancakes and waffles immensely. I WANT to say they're Celiac-friendly, as a result... but I'll leave that to some brave Celiac folks to decide for themselves.
My Celiac son and I (Hashimoto's) tried to eat here, but the server said that while they do have gf pancakes, it's all cooked on the same grill. This place is not safe for Celiacs. Stars are for kindness of the server (He was great!) and not for any knowledge of how the food tastes.
Ate here twice recently, and orderwd gluten free pancakes and toast. BOTH times SEVERELY glutened me and had be running to the bathrrom to throw up. My mistake for giving them a second chance, I thought maybe it was an accidental mix up the first time, but it happened again, and I was throwing up within a few bites of of pancake. I dont have Celiac, just high sensetivity, and usually i have to eat like straight up gluten to get a severe reaction like that so even if you're not celiac, I wouldn't eat here.
GF breakfast options - a section label for GF ordering, but you can also ask for them to customize anything and make it GF. Very accommodating. Very busy place so takes a while to get food and order and get the check, but worth it when I have gone
