Used to eat here fairly often and the food was good but not great, until I started getting reactions from it. I realized they sell wheatgrass and use it on the same equipment as other foods. If you’re just gluten free as a lifestyle option, this should be fine, but as a sensitive Celiac with a wheat allergy, this is very disconcerting.

If an establishment claiming to be dedicated gluten free sells pure wheat in any form, they clearly aren’t very careful with their other ingredients. I don’t know if it was the wheatgrass or something else they were careless about, but I’ve gotten consistently sick and this is definitely not safe for Celiacs.

Someone on here responded that wheatgrass is fine for celiacs. Maybe for them, but not for someone with a wheat allergy associated with celiac disease. To claim your restaurant is 100% gluten free and have any form of wheat is dangerous. It’s like Omission beer claiming to be gluten free when it is gluten-removed. A not insignificant number of people who can’t have gluten also can’t have wheat in general. I have severe reactions from wheatgrass, and spent three days vomiting curled up in a ball on the floor from my last exposure. You can say that’s fine for casual gluten free lifestyle, but for those of us who can’t eat anywhere it’s a very serious deal. Maybe you’re fine with it, but some of us are not, so kindly don’t explain to me how my allergies affect me. If you’re a serious celiac, save yourself the reaction and do not eat here.
