I stuck to low risk items (lentil soup, gf wrap, and stuffed grape leaves). Very tasty, and I didn't get sick. The ordering system is via kiosk without human interaction. It didn't seem to have a way to indicate celiac/allergy. I spoke with a server after ordering, and she asked me what I had ordered and assured me I should be ok. I will go again, probably get the same things to be safe.
This place is great, I have had no issues, and feel safe eating here. Everything gluten-free and dairy free is marked on the menu. They have also helped us with questions when asked. The only thing on the menu that has gluten in it is their pitas and hamburger buns. They offer a gluten-free wrap for $2 which is a brown rice tortilla. I highly recommend getting it as it’s delicious for dipping in the hummus.
Got some clarification regarding the symbols: VG means vegan
V means Vegetarian
They are unfamiliar with gluten and it is unclear if your food will be gluten free. Staff do not seem to be trained.
According to their website they have two fryers to prevent cross contamination. One for falafel and one for fries. I took this to assume the fries are not gluten free.
If you eat here, make sure you talk to the kitchen.
When ordering I let the cashier know I had celiac disease and said gluten allergy as well. They thought this meant I couldn’t have dairy because when I asked if the gf wrap had dairy in it they said: no it is gluten free so that means no dairy. After going through what gluten was with the cashier they asked another person who said the wrap had no eggs in it. When I clarified I was asking about dairy they took a few minutes talking to the kitchen to figure it out (it does not). The people in front not knowing about what had gluten and what had other allergens in it made me nervous. I emphasized that it was an allergy and please to mark it, they said they would ask the kitchen to change gloves. After receiving the food and taking it to go, the wraps were packaged in papers but open next to each other (gf and the normal pita). We also ordered fries that were on the ticket and did not get any in the bag. There was no mention of allergy or anything marked on the receipt. I know this restaurant has many good reviews and there is not much gluten on the menu so I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt but I did not feel comfortable and did not eat the food.
One of the cashiers has celiac and understands cross contamination. You can’t get anything on the grill because of CC but a dedicated fryer for French fries. On the receipt it even noted change gloves and special treatment. Ate here 3 times in 3 days without any issues. Great to finally have Mediterranean food after 2 years without it.
Amazing food and almost the entire menu is GF!! The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious. This is the only eatery I've found GF pitas!
Almost the entire menu is gf, and the staff knows without having to ask a manager. Dedicated fryer. Gf wraps! Ethically sourced meat, and somehow they're cheap, too! Stop in once, you'll be back.
Very enjoyable casual restaurant. They are accommodating and it was easy to be gluten free and even vegetarian too. Even the tabouli is GF.
Fantastic food and the staff are so kind and friendly. I had the falafel plate with spicy hummus and baba ghanoush. Sooo good and lots of options.
lots of options. And a yummy gluten free dessert to top it!
