We are frequent visitors of First Watch in Madison so we were very excited for this location to open! I always get the protein quinoa bowl and a side of fruit. It’s delicious.
Unfortunately this location is not trained well/considerate for those with celiac. Twice now we’ve been given different orders. When I inquired about it, they give different answers about what is and is not gluten free and I have to ask them to double check or show them their website allergen list. Since I’ve been eating this meal for 5+ years now, I can usually tell if it’s wrong.
I’m hopeful that as they become more established they’ll learn better protocols. In the meantime, we will stick with the Madison location.
All they have for breakfast is gluten free toast. I had the avocado toast but I make it better at home. There were some options for lunch I guess but I was there for breakfast. No pancakes or waffles and my eggs were wiggly whites.
Had gf bread for toast, beyond that it was standard eggs, bacon, potato hash (aka normally gf items).
Very disappointed in their lack of gf French toast or dedicated grill as in store in TX. We were so excited to see it was in HSV, and soo disappointed to see the lack of interest in gf.
The menu and staff sets expectations very low for avoiding cross contamination, but if you get past that they have omelets and gf toast. You could probably find a few other items. Million dollar potatoes only have $2 worth of bacon bits since you can’t have the sauce. Large portions.
Allergen menu not super user friendly. Our server told us there is GF bread and any sandwhcu/ toast/ French toast can be made with it. She did put an allergen note on our order and with a view of the kitchen we saw glovegloves being changed.
Food was great and super friendly service
I was assured by the waitress that all safety precautions are made for Celiac customers. I was told they have a dedicated area for preparing food for customers with Celiac and food allergies. They use a dedicated toaster for gf toast. I had a veggie omelet, fruit, and toast. Potatoes are prepared on a grill also used foods with gluten. I felt fine after eating there.
