This five guys offers burgers in a lettuce wrap or a bowl with lettuce underneath the burger. The bowl is usually the best option since you can add peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes etc abs end up with a nice salad!

You can get the burgers in a lettuce wrap. Everything is gluten free except the buns. They were careful with cross contamination. It's difficult to eat a burger in a lettuce wrap but it was yummy and the fries are great.

Boo hiss! This location will NOT make lettuce wraps for burgers. No idea why, since I haven't had problems elsewhere. I asked on two separate occasions just to be sure. If you don't mind eating a patty in a foil wrapper, though, at least it's gf. And the fries! Not A+ fries, but pretty good. Also, it's nice, for once, to have something to munch on while you wait - peanuts - unless of course someone in your group is allergic!

I ordered a bunless burger and they asked me if it was an allergy. I said yes and they immediately shouted down the line, "we have an allergy!!" They even remade my order when one them accidentally cross contaminated by using a pair of gloves which had touched bread. From what I could ascertain - they toast their bread on a separate griddle. So far, I've had no issues or symptoms, so I'd say it's worth checking out.

I have come here multiple times and each time it was a different knowledge level about cross contamination. I've been glutened here several times because people do not change their gloves or they handle bread and then handle my food. Got glutened here today again. The fry cook had touched a bun and then wrapped it up. I asked him to change his gloves, which he did (and clearly wasn't happy about it.) but rather than put the fries in a separate bag, he put it in the main bag on top of the container with the burger. I am not sure if that was the reason I got sick or if someone else earlier in the line didn't change their gloves, but I'm done with this franchise. If you are a celiac and sensitive to cross contamination, AVOID this franchise. They don't know what they're doing and no matter how much you try to communicate, they still mess it up.

Normally Five Guys fries are gluten free and there is no contamination issue. However we watched the employee touch the buns then put his same gloved hands into the fries-contaminating them. When we approached said employee for a refund because of having celiac he gave very poor customer service with an attitude. Not a celiac safe location and horrible customer service.

I loved five guys before getting Celiac, and now i really love them! They only fry gluten free fries and their burgers have great flavor. I love the topping and sauce variety. The only thing there with gluten is the bun! Say you have a gluten allergy and they will change their gloves and prep your food away from the buns. AMAZING :)

It’s nice to have a fast food chain that takes allergies seriously. If you tell them you have an allergy, they’ll make your food in a separate area and change their gloves. All burgers and toppings are gf, but you can get it wrapped in lettuce or bunless. All the fries are safe to eat too as nothing else is fried in them. Obviously, avoid if anyone has a peanut allergy.

So you obviously order without any bread. When I told the order taker I had an allergy and no bread, they did a great job notifying the line. They frequently changed gloves, pulled from new bins for toppings (it was a plain burger with lettuce wrap). The only cross contamination risk I saw was the bacon used sits in one big basket. The server did reach down to the bottom of the bin. Fries were heaven for my daughter. I felt very comfortable with letting my celiac daughter eat out for the first time in months. It helps that you can watch them cook and assemble everything.

They will also gladly remake the order if you feel unsure.

My husband and I walked into this location and I asked the order taker about a gluten free burger, getting ready to ask what precautions they took. She gave me that "deer in the headlights " look and said, "Uh, we don't have those but we do have a vegan burger!" The voice of experience told me they had NO IDEA of what I was talking about so we left more quickly than we went in. The other two reviewers must have had a better experience than I did! We get our burgers bunless. Sometimes I take my own gluten-free bun from home. The french fries are cooked in a dedicated fryer but they are sometimes limp and soggy. I usually ask them to cook them until they are well done. This location also has milkshakes and they told me they clean the mixer between each shake.

Their burgers are so good and you can get them on a lettuce wrap, which I'm fairly certain they make on a piece of foil so there is no cross-contamination risk. The best GF fries too (although I'm not sure if the cajun seasoning is GF). As far as I can tell, there is nothing on the menu that they fry that contains gluten, so fries should be fine.

Dedicated fryer for fries, they’ll clean off the mixer for milkshakes if you ask (to prevent cc from malt), and they will lettuce wrap your burger with clean gloves. They also use minimal ingredients and are transparent on their website so you can see what has preservatives in it (ahem mushrooms which I don’t order anymore).
