We went here and the cashier had no clue what I was talking about when I asked about the fries being gluten free. She told me the fries had gluten. I said I’ve read they don’t can you please ask somone she asked someone on the cook line, possibly a manager (?) and he had not clue either. After watching their exchange we cancelled our order and left. Absolutely nothing about this seemed remotely safe. I really wanted to eat here after reading the great reviews but I couldn’t take a chance. Everything is also made on the same line from what I could tell.
No
They don't have gluten free buns, but do offer the patties wrapped in lettuce which is still good. The fried are amazing and are gf. Though, I've only ever had the plain ones. Been a few times and haven't been sick.
Fries Gluten Free! They r very careful about cross contamination.

Food was delicious! As soon as I said "gluten allergy" the cashier had the employees change gloves.

I adore this place! I hadn't eaten french fries in over a year because of cross contamination issues but here, potatoes are the only thing they put in the fryer so no problems there! They are 100% Idaho potatoes and all natural and delicious! I also love their burgers so much!! Juicy and delicious! Plus, they are also all natural so the beef flavor really stands out. I love them without the bun, or sometimes I bring my own bread and put it together at the table. Highly recommended if you're wanting a good quality and tasty burger and fries!
Excellent food. Bun-less burgers and fries are safe (dedicated GF fryer). Reliable and delicious. Staff is careful to avoid cross-contamination.

I appreciate that they always ask if my lettuce wrapped order is an allergy. Fries are the only thing in the fryer, so no worries about cross contamination.

I’ve gone three times in two months and it’s been great every time. I tell them “allergy warning, I have celiac’s”. I order mine on lettuce (they do a really great job at wrapping the burger in lettuce), with everything on it.
I then inform them that my spouse would like a normal bacon burger on a bun. The staff has always reassured me and I hear them tell each other “allergy!” while cooking. They’ve always put my burger in a different bag marked “***ALLERGY***” and there was a red sticker on the tin foil of my burger.
If you’ve never been to a Five Guys, they have a very limited menu of just burgers (bacon, cheese, or plain) in three sizes, French fries (plain or Cajun), and milkshakes.
The only gluten items on the menu are the buns and malt. The chocolate shakes do not automatically come malted, so there’s never been a worry for me there.
