Menu doesn't specify GF items but the website lists all allergens. Hamburgers, hotdogs, and all the toppings (except buns) are GF. They have a lettuce wrap you can get. Fries are GF and the only thing that goes in the fryers. The milkshake base and some mix ins are GF, but some mix ins have gluten and they're made on a shared blender so CC can't be avoided. The cashier understood what I needed when I told her I had celiac. She alerted the grill cook a gluten allergy was in the check and it was printed on the ticket. They changed their gloves when handling my sandwich and bagged it separately from the rest of the order. You can watch them make your food through the whole process. I got a fries and a cheeseburger "all the way" with ketchup, mustard, mayo, pickles, tomato, onions and mushrooms. It was delicious. A little messy with all of the toppings but worth needing the extra napkins!
I asked if they could accommodate me due to celiac. Was told I can get it wrapped in lettuce or just no bun. Only fries are cooked in the fryer. The guy who took my order shouted...”gluten/wheat allergy! Change gloves and make on safe clean area!”
I was amazed! Just traveling through the Pittsburgh area and was so happy to have gone here!!!
I asked for gluten free/ lettuce wrapped burger and they put my burger in a bowl and wrapped a bun on the side. I asked the lady if it was gluten free and she insisted the bun was on the side. Big sad
My son has celiac and we have taken him here a few times in 2019 for a burger on a lettuce bun. He has never gotten sick, even though we order food at the same time for the rest of our kids that don't have celiac and can have a regular hamburger. Staff seems to know exactly what I'm talking about whem I tell them he needs a glove change and have his food prepped in a separate area. (They do have a separate, dedicated grill for cooking his food on) Food tastes great too!
The employee at the registered spoke very knowledgeably about GF celiac safety. She immediately explained their safety practices. They have a dedicated grill for buns and the fryer is only for fresh cut potatoes. They offered a bowl or a lettuce wrap in place of the bun. They cleaned a separate prep space and their hands and changed gloves. The order slip/receipt was marked “ALLERGY”, the meal was bagged separately. They called out “Allergy” multiple times to the staff touching food.
