The folks at Five Guys always ensure that I’m safe. I’ve never had a problem. They change gloves, clean the prep table, and package the food separately. They are one of my “go to” places.

I know people who work at five guys, and they cannot and do not recommend anyone who has celiac come here to eat. They do not have a menu, or a bun, but they do sometimes have a dedicated fryer for fries. :)

Yes
I like that they put gluten allergy on their ticket. I have watched them make my food from start to finish and they followed protocol for my food wonderfully. They even bagged my food separately than the rest of the food, even the fries.
Excellent food. Bun-less burgers and fries are safe (dedicated GF fryer). Reliable and delicious. Staff is careful to avoid cross-contamination.

I appreciate that they always ask if my lettuce wrapped order is an allergy. Fries are the only thing in the fryer, so no worries about cross contamination.

I’ve gone three times in two months and it’s been great every time. I tell them “allergy warning, I have celiac’s”. I order mine on lettuce (they do a really great job at wrapping the burger in lettuce), with everything on it.
I then inform them that my spouse would like a normal bacon burger on a bun. The staff has always reassured me and I hear them tell each other “allergy!” while cooking. They’ve always put my burger in a different bag marked “***ALLERGY***” and there was a red sticker on the tin foil of my burger.
If you’ve never been to a Five Guys, they have a very limited menu of just burgers (bacon, cheese, or plain) in three sizes, French fries (plain or Cajun), and milkshakes.
The only gluten items on the menu are the buns and malt. The chocolate shakes do not automatically come malted, so there’s never been a worry for me there.
